BWW Reviews: OTHER DESERT CITIES - A Scorching Hot Cast

A finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, Jon Robin Baitz's OTHER DESERT CITIES is a heavy-hitting and sharply written drama gallivanting about as a comedy for much of the first hour. While the laughs are many, Baitz's quick-witted script is thick with suspense, disloyalty and resentment. Virginia Repertory Theatre has hired some of the most accomplished performers and creative artists in Richmond to mount the Tony-nominated production. (more...)

IRENA'S VOW Plays 100th Performance On Broadway Tonight 6/4

In the 2009 Theatre Fans' Choice Awards, sponsored by BroadwayWorld.com, Irena's Vow won a Best Play award and its star, Tovah Feldshuh, took the honor for Best Leading Actress in a Play. Tonight's show (June 4) marks the production's 100th performance on Broadway. (more...)

Tovah Feldshuh, playwright Dan Gordon and the cast of 'Irena's Vow' were joined by Broadway luminaries including Lynn Redgrave, and a group of African-American Rabbis headed up by Rabbi Benyamin Ben Levy fr0m Temple Beth Belohim in St. Albans Queen. IRENA'S VOW Offers $25 Same Day Student Ticket Policy

The producers of Irena's Vow, the new play by Dan Gordon, starring four-time Tony nominee, and three-time Drama Desk Award-winner Tovah Feldshuh, and directed by Michael Parva, have established a student ticket policy. Beginning today (the first preview performance), a limited number of front row tickets will be available for purchase at the box office of the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street) for $25.00. Tickets are available the day of the performance when the box office opens and will require a valid student I.D. (2 tickets per I.D., cash only). (more...)
