American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Artistic Director Carey Perloff announced the lineup of the company's 44th subscription season today. Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Co-Founder and Executive Director) and INTAR (Eduardo Machado, Artistic Director/John McCormack, Executive Director) will present Havana Journal, 2004, a new play by Eduardo Machado, directed by Stefanie Sertich, beginning performances Friday, March 26th and continuing through April 18th only, at Theater for the New City, 155 1st Avenue between 9th and 10th Streets. Opening Night is set for Saturday April 3rd.

Up next for The New Group is the new musical The Kid, beginning performances on Friday, April 16. Official Opening Night is set for Monday, May 10. This marks the final production in The New Group's current 2009-2010 season, which featured Kenneth Lonergan's The Starry Messenger and most recently, the hit revival of Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind, directed by Ethan Hawke.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) and Signature Theatre Company (Founding Artistic Director James Houghton; Executive Director Erika Mallin) announced today that the New York premiere of Tony Kushner's THE INTELLIGENT HOMOSEXUAL'S GUIDE TO CAPITALISM AND SOCIALISM WITH A KEY TO THE SCRIPTURES will be presented in the 2010-2011 season in a co-production between The Public Theater and Signature Theatre Company, in association with the Guthrie Theater. Michael Greif, who directed the world premiere at the Guthrie in April, 2009, will direct the New York premiere, which will play March 22-June 12, 2011 at The Public Theater. Casting will be announced at a later date.

We start out with a 'Sizzling Summer of Siblings' and two back-to-back shows exploring that unique relationship-first between brothers, then among sisters-in two very different works - Sam Shepard's True West followed by Canadian Daniel MacIvor's Marion Bridge.
