TICKETS are still available for the much-loved musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which flies into Canterbury this summer. The show, at The Marlowe Theatre from Wednesday 24 August, stars Lee Mead (Casualty, Legally Blonde, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat) as Caractacus Potts; Claire Sweeney (Brookside, Strictly Come Dancing, Loose Women, Chicago, Guys And Dolls, Educating Rita, and Hairspray) as Baroness Bomburst; Phill Jupitus (The Producers, Hairspray) as Lord Scrumptious/Baron Bomburst; Carrie Hope Fletcher (Les Miserables, War Of The Worlds) as TrulyScrumptious; Matt Gillett (Jersey Boys, Top Hat) as the Childcatcher; and Andy Hockley (The Phantom Of The Opera) as Grandpa Potts.

Tony Award winner Billy Porter will return to the Huntington to direct next seasons Topdog/Underdog by Suzan-Lori Parks. Mr. Porter directed the Huntington's 2015 production of George C. Wolfe's The Colored Museum and is currently performing on Broadway in Wolfe's production of Shuffle Along, or, the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed. Topdog/Underdog will perform March 10 - April 9, 2017 at the BU Theatre/Avenue of the Arts.

The Pasadena Playhouse (Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director), in association with Broadway producer Suzi Dietz, announced today that they will present Tony Award-nominee and multi-platinum recording artist Sam Harris' critically acclaimed Off-Broadway production HAM: A MUSICAL MEMOIR. Directed by Ken Sawyer (Founding Member of The Road Theatre Company) and Billy Porter (Tony Award-winner for Kinky Boots), the musical comedy takes us from a conflicted childhood in Bible-Belt Oklahoma to the dizzying roller coaster ride of a life in show business and the precarious balancing act of fatherhood. The production features musical direction by Todd Schroeder. HAM will play a limited engagement of three performances only on Saturday, July 9 at 2 pm and 8 pm and Sunday, July 10 at 2 pm at The Pasadena Playhouse (39 S. El Molino Avenue).

Claire Sweeney will play the role of Baroness Bomburst in Music & Lyrics and West Yorkshire Playhouse's production of the much-loved Sherman Brothers musical CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG, from Wednesday 3 August 2016. The production is touring across the UK and Ireland until February 2017. Michelle Collins, who currently plays Baroness Bomburst, leaves the production on 30 July 2016.

Music & Lyrics and West Yorkshire Playhouse have announced that Matt Gillett will take the role of The Childcatcher in the much-loved Sherman Brothers musical CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG, which is touring across the UK and Ireland until February 2017. Matt was already a part of the ensemble when the producers discovered his talent for playing this iconic role. John Stalker, Executive Producer of Music & Lyrics, said: 'We are delighted to offer Matt this starring role having understudied the part of The Childcatcher since the beginning of the show in Leeds. Matt's performance will have everyone on the edge of their seats!' Martin Kemp, who currently plays The Childcatcher, leaves the production on April 24 and Matt will be taking over the role from May 4 in Milton Keynes.
