The event -From Stage to Screen and Back Again - will be illustrated with clips from her productions. The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) today announced that Emmy Award winning journalist Jose Diaz-Balart, news anchor for 'Noticiero Telemundo' and host of 'Enfoque con Jose Diaz-Balart,' will serve as celebrity host at its 36th Annual Awards Gala on October 2, 2013 in Washington, D.C. The event is the largest gathering of Latino leaders in the country and is part of CHCI's Hispanic Heritage Month events, including its 2013 Public Policy Conference and Reyes of Comedy. Diaz-Balart is celebrity hosting thanks to long time CHCI partner and Telemundo parent company, Comcast NBCUniversal.

The Stella Adler Studio of Acting has announced that the Eighth Annual Stella by Starlight Benefit Gala will be held tonight, June 10 at Espace in New York City. This year's honorees include acting luminaries Elaine Stritch and George Takei, Broadway idol Stephen Sondheim and real estate mogul Charles S. Cohen. The gala will feature a special live performance from Ms. Stritch's friend Bernadette Peters and red carpet appearances by Alec Baldwin, Liza Minnelli and James Gandolfini.
