JOYCE DEWITT In REMEMBER ME

Craig Smith, Managing Partner of the new Alhambra Theatre & Dining announced this morning that Joyce DeWitt will star in Sam Bobrick's romantic comedy, Remember Me. Miss DeWitt is most widely known to audiences for her starring role as 'Janet Wood' in the ABC Television hit series "Three's Company," but she is no stranger to live theater, working both as actress and director in a stage career which spans over forty years. She recently starred in A Scattered, Smothered and Covered Christmas Musical and the Canadian productions of the 2000 Pulitzer Prize-winning play Dinner With Friends and Alfred Uhry's Tony Award-winning play The Last Night of Ballyhoo.

Alhambra's WIZARD OF OZ Opens Wednesday

When Craig Smith talks of the many reasons he bought the Alhambra in August of 2009, he often gets teary-eyed telling the story of his daughter, Macy's, first live theater experience almost 10 years ago - the Wizard of Oz at the Alhambra. So this summer has a special feel to it for Smith as the Alhambra opens its 2012 summer family show on June 6 with the Wizard of Oz.

ALWAYS, PATSY CLINE, Performs to Benefit Rotary International’s Fight Against Polio, 5/31

Rotary International invites all to join them and the Ogunquit Playhouse in the fight to eradicate Polio worldwide by purchasing a ticket to ALWAYS, PATSY CLINE, on "Rotary Night," tonight, May 31, 2012 at the Ogunquit Playhouse. For every ticket sold that evening, the Ogunquit Playhouse will donate a portion to the York Rotary Club. This year's goal is to raise over $5,000 to support Rotary International's goal of eliminating worldwide polio. Tickets start at $39 per person. Brad Oscar Leads Barrington Stage Company's FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, 6/13 - 7/14

Fiddler on the Roof, kicks off Barrington Stage Company's 2012 Mainstage Season for a five week run from June 13 through July 14. The award-winning regional theatre in downtown Pittsfield celebrates its 18th season in the Berkshires under the leadership of Julianne Boyd, Artistic Director, and Tristan Wilson, Managing Director. Directed and choreographed by Gary John La Rosa, with music direction by Darren R. Cohen, Fiddler on the Roof will have an official opening night on Sunday, June 17 at 5pm.

Ogunquit Playhouse Kicks Off 80th Anniversary Season with Sally Struthers in ALWAYS PATSY CLINE, Now thru 6/16

The Ogunquit Playhouse, America's Foremost Summer Theatre, is set to celebrate its 80th Anniversary season today, May 23 to October 21, 2012. The lineup offers a mix of Broadway's most enduring musical classics, along with some of the hottest new shows on stage today. Executive Artistic Director, Bradford Kenney explains, "A milestone anniversary deserves a year made up of Broadway's greatest classics, retrospectives of the Playhouse's biggest hits, and of course a brand-new Broadway musical from one of America's greatest song writers, Dolly Parton."

Pittsburgh CLO Announces Full Casts of Local Productions - Starring Sally Struthers, Hunter Herdlicka, Liz Callaway and More!

Pittsburgh CLO has announced casting for its summer season, which includes six shows, featuring the national tours of Come Fly Away and The Addams Family, and CLO original productions of A Chorus Line, Annie, Fiddler on the Roof and Sunset Boulevard. Notably, A CHORUS LINE brings on board a slew of the show's national tour veterans, ANNIE stars Sally Struthers as Miss Hannigan, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF features Broadway's Lewis J. Stadlen, Susan Cella, Hunter Herdlicka, Joel Robertson, Emily Shoolin and Kay Walbye. Liz Callaway and Walter Charles are set to star in SUNSET BOULEVARD.

Celebration Theatre Benefit Honors Leslie Jordan with Vibrant Voice Award Tonight, 5/6

Celebration Theatre, its Board of Directors and Company Members present the 2nd ANNUAL SPRING CABARET, A Night of Celebration, a benefit for Celebration Theatre and its upcoming 30th Anniversary season - and honors Emmy-award winning actor Leslie Jordan with the first ever Celebration Theatre Vibrant Voice Award which is given to an artist for being an outspoken ally for Celebration Theatre and the LGBT arts community in Los Angeles.

Ogunuit Playhouse Kicks Off 2012 Season with ALWAYS, PATSY CLINE, 5/24

The 80th Anniversary Season at the Ogunquit Playhouse kicks off with Always, Patsy Cline, on stage from May 23 through June 16. This show is told through the letters of star-struck fan Louise Seger, portrayed by Emmy Award winning actress, Sally Struthers. This popular musical, which has enjoyed great success both off-Broadway and across the nation, is based on the true story of Cline's friendship with Seger, who befriended the star in a Texas honky-tonk in l961 and continued a correspondence with Cline until her death. Featuring the unforgettable hits of the Country Music mega-star, this funny and touching tribute celebrates the career and life of the singer who died tragically in a plane crash in 1963. "Crazy," "I Fall to Pieces," "Sweet Dreams" and "Walking After Midnight" are just a few of the 27 featured songs.

The 28th Annual STAGE Benefit was held last weekend at the Saban Theatre Beverly Hills to benefit AIDS Project Los Angeles. Entitled 'Original Cast 3,' it featured performers doing songs from shows with which they are associated. The event raised more than $200,000 for APLA's work with clients living with HIV and AIDS in Los Angeles County.
