Arthur Darvill wants his fans to know there is more to him than playing the character 'Rory' from the popular sci-fi drama Dr Who.

The Royal Shakespeare Company and Creative Alliance will run an event for over 300 students to find out more about careers in creative and cultural industries. The RSC and Creative Alliance are collaborating to provide young people with an opportunity to gain a realistic insight into careers in the creative and cultural sector at their 'Creative Journeys: Meet The Professionals' event, this time focusing on the Coventry and Warwickshire area. The event will be held at the RSC in Stratford upon Avon on Friday 9th May.

Game of Thrones actor Owen Teale will star in director Terry Hands' new production of Under Milk Wood, which comes to the Exeter Northcott Theatre this month. The production marks the centenary of Dylan Thomas' birth, as well as the 60th anniversary since Under Milk Wood was first produced in Britain, as a radio play by the BBC, in 1954. A cast of Welsh actors also includes Torchwood actor Kai Owen and Steven Meo (The Fabulous Baker Boys).

59E59 Theaters will welcome KPS Productions in association with the Pleasance Theatre in Edinburgh to Brits Off Broadway with PLAYING WITH GROWN UPS by Hannah Patterson, directed by Hannah Eidinow. PLAYING WITH GROWN UPS begins performances tonight, April 29 for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 18.

The Belgrade Theatre Coventry in association with Presence Theatre and the Actors Touring Company has announced that Chorale: A Sam Shepherd Roadshow will play to the Belgrade B2 stage for one week only from Saturday 10th - Saturday 17th May.

The World Premiere of The Nightmares of Carlos Fuentes runs at the Arcola Theatre from 23 July until 16 August, with press night on 29 July 2014. Design is by Ellan Parry, lighting by Matt Eagland and sound by Andy Graham. Further casting will be announced shortly.

Rashid Razaq's new play, The Nightmares of Carlos Fuentes, is based on an award-winning short story by Hassan Blasim. It is directed by Nicolas Kent, who was Artistic Director of the Tricycle Theatre from 1984-2012. The cast includes Nabil Elouahabi who was a leading actor in the Olivier nominated, and critically acclaimed trilogy, The Great Game: Afghanistan, which ran at the Tricycle Theatre and toured throughout the US. He also was a series regular in Channel 4's BAFTA nominated Top Boy (series two).

The first UK production in nearly 100 years of St John Ervine's timeless tragedy John Ferguson opens at the Finborough Theatre for a four week run from Tuesday, 20 May 2014 - Saturday, 14 June 2014.

The Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical is now booking through to May 2015. Over one million people have seen the show since it opened at The Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon in November 2010. Capturing the imagination of young and old alike, Matilda The Musical continues to play to packed houses at the Cambridge Theatre in London and in New York at the Shubert Theatre. Tickets are now on sale until Sunday 24 May 2015.

Christopher Sieber will officially make his debut as the tyrant Miss Trunchbull in Broadway's Matilda the Musical tonight, April 18. Sieber was previously scheduled to begin performances in March, but had to delay after he fractured a bone in his hand during rehearsals.

The Last Confession, the acclaimed mystery thriller by Roger Crane set in the Vatican, begins its world tour in Toronto tonight, April 19, 2014 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, before touring to Los Angeles, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, Australia.

Patrick Stewart, the actor best known for his role as Captain Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation was known for leading the Starship Enterprise to the final frontier. Now, he's the final piece of the puzzle in a star-studded cast at Salt Lake Comic Con (http://saltlakecomiccon.com/) FanXperience (FanX) on April 17-19, 2014 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
