GAME OF THRONES actor Owen Teale will star in director Terry Hands' new production of UNDER MILK WOOD at Birmingham Repertory Theatre from June 2 to 7. The production marks the centenary of Dylan Thomas' birth, as well as the 60th anniversary since UNDER MILK WOOD was first produced in Britain, as a radio play by the BBC, in 1954. A cast of Welsh actors also includes TORCHWOOD actor Kai Owen and Steven Meo (THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS).

Come to Llareggub, a small Welsh town by the sea. Meet blind Captain Cat, Mog Edwards and his sweetheart Miss Price, Sinbad Sailor, Dai Bread, Polly Garter, Nogood Boyo and Lord Cut Glass. Walk along Coronation Street, Cockle Row and Donkey Street, down to the little fishing harbour and back to Milk Wood. Dylan Thomas explores their lives, hopes and thoughts in the dreams of a night and the rhythm of a day.

Owen Teale won Best Actor Tony Award for his performance in A DOLLS HOUSE on Broadway and recently starred alongside Zoë Wanamaker in the West End production of PASSION PLAY by Peter Nichols. Other theatre credits include A DOLL'S HOUSE (West End/Broadway), CREDITORS (Donmar), IVANHOV (National Theatre), DANCE OF DEATH (West End) and MARY STUART and MACBETH (Theatre Clwyd).

For television Owen stars as series regular Ser Alliser in the HBO TV adaptation of GAME OF THRONES. Other credits include STELLA (SKY 1), BALLYKISSANGEL (BBC), TORCHWOOD (BBC) and MURPHEY's LAW (ITV). Film credits include THE CHERRY ORCHARD, LOVE ME FOREVER, KING ARTHUR and CONSPIRACY.
