Variety reports that Alan Rickman will receive the Camerimage film festival's Krzysztof Kieslowski Award.

The King's Speech - the play from which the Oscar-winning movie that starred Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush was adapted - will set out on its first national tour in 2015.

Theatre for a New Audience, Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director, will present four panel discussions entitled 'Celebrating Christopher Marlowe' in conjunction with its epic production now on stage of Marlowe's 1587 Tamburlaine, Parts I and II, edited and directed by Olivier Award-winner Michael Boyd and starring John Douglas Thompson heading a cast of 19 performing 60 roles.

The company includes Vinta Morgan, Vincenzo Nicoli, Finlay Robertson, Raphael Sowole, Tim Steed, Jonathan Tafler, Anthony Welsh, Tom Weston-Jones and original RSC cast members Jamie Beamish, Rebecca Brewer, Caroline Martin and Emily Plumtree.

John Douglas Thompson will lead a company of 19 actors playing 60 roles in the first major New York production since Broadway 1956 of Christopher Marlowe's 1587 epic Tamburlaine, Parts I and II, Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director of Theatre for a New Audience, announced. Directed and edited by Olivier Award-winner Michael Boyd, former Artistic Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, Marlowe's two-part drama will be performed as one 3.5-hour play, plus a 30-minute intermission.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) just announced dates for Michael Frayn's comedy Noises Off, starring Tony® and Emmy® Award winner Andrea Martin as 'Dotty.' Jeremy Herrin will direct the new Broadway production as part of Roundabout Theatre Company's 50th anniversary season. Noises Off will begin previews on Thursday, December 17, 2015 and open officially on Thursday, January 14, 2016 on Broadway. This will be a limited engagement.

BAFTA winning and Golden Globe nominated actor James McAvoy (Filth, The Last King of Scotland, Atonement, X-Men) returns to Trafalgar Transformed, following his performance in Jamie Lloyd's Macbeth, which launched the first Trafalgar Transformed season and earned him an Olivier award nomination for Best Actor, and for the production a nomination for Best Revival. McAvoy will play Jack, the 14th Earl of Gurney, in the first revival of Peter Barnes' satirical comedy, The Ruling Class, directed by Artistic Director, Jamie Lloyd. The production runs from 16 January to 11 April 2015, with press night on 27 January. Design is by Soutra Gilmour, with lighting by Jon Clark and sound by Ben and Max Ringham.
