RSC to Host Semi-Integrated British Sign Language Performance

The Royal Shakespeare Company will host its first semi-integrated British Sign Language performance on 5 January at 7.15pm of Phil Porter's The Christmas Truce. The production is inspired by the incredible true Christmas story from 1914, when soldiers along the Western Front left their trenches on Christmas Eve to meet their enemies in No Man's Land to talk, exchange gifts and play football. Directed by RSC Deputy Artistic Director, Erica Whyman, the show is suitable for ages nine plus and runs until 31 January 2015 in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

Royal Shakespeare Company to Begin Restoration on Swan Wing

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) has announced the start of a major project which will see the restoration of the oldest part of the Company's theatres in Stratford-upon-Avon, plus the opening of a new exhibition, which will immerse visitors in the RSC's rich history and showcase how the Company makes its world famous productions. The project is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

TO KILL A MOCKINBIRD to Play Theatre Royal Glasgow in 2015

Adapted for stage by Christopher Sergel, based on Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize winning novel, this enchanting production of To Kill A Mockingbird comes to the Theatre Royal from Tuesday 3 February for one week only. Daniel Betts will play Atticus Finch alongside Zackary Momoh as Tom Robinson and Christopher Akrill as Boo Radley. Original cast member and composer Phil King will reprise his role.

Bruntwood Prize For Playwriting 2015 Sets Judging Panel

The 2015 Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting today announced its judging panel ahead of this year's official launch on 29 January 2015, which will also mark the Prize's 10th anniversary. The competition, a unique partnership between the Royal Exchange Theatre and property company Bruntwood, will accept entries from 30 January 2015.

Aurora Extends BREAKFAST WITH MUGABE Through 12/20

Due to popular demand, Aurora Theatre Company announces that it will add a second extension week of performances of the West Coast Premiere of Fraser Grace's provocative BREAKFAST WITH MUGABE. Jon Tracy, who directed Aurora's productions of Gidion's Knot and The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity, helms BREAKFAST WITH MUGABE, featuring L. Peter Callender (The Soldier's Tale, Permanent Collection), Dan Hiatt (Wittenberg, The Arsonists), Leontyne Mbele-Mbong (African-American Shakespeare Company, Lamplighters), and Adrian Roberts (TheatreWorks, California Shakespeare Theater).
