Mr. Botelho and Mr. Moeller will soon reach the London West End and Broadway with BLACK ORPHEUS, produced by American producer Stephen C. Byrd. HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING is the 32nd show in their winning careers. Mr. Botelho is also the Brazilian translator of shows like LES MISERABLES, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, MISS SAIGON, MY FAIR LADY, THE KING AND I and ADDAMS FAMILY, to name a few.
Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch return to Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel with their evening of swinging standards tonight, March 10, then running every Today in March, from 9:00 p.m. to midnight. The two performers, who have performed extensively on their own, gained national exposure together as the host and musical director of the wildly popular open mic, Cast Party, which celebrates talent every Monday at Birdland in NYC, and tours nationally. During their November run at Bemelmans, the duo received critical acclaim, and made news when rock legend Bono joined them in an impromptu performance. The study found that "a systematic review ranked the Mediterranean diet as the most likely dietary model to provide protection against coronary heart disease."
'The Real (Desperate) Housewives of Columbia County Musical' by Carl Ritchie (book, lyrics, director) and Wayne Moore (music) is a Coward-esque evening from the Taconic Stage Company upstate, which it took by storm in the summer of 2011. Thinly guised as the confessions of four 40-something women on reality TV, this four-character musical spotlights the culture-clash between spoiled, egocentric 'weekender' women and their working class 'townie' counterparts in a rural upstate community. The show has no reason but to delight, which it does with savvy performances, high-heeled lyrics and the poison of its cocktail-party chit-chat dialogue. To share it with a wider audience, Taconic Stage Company will present the piece in its NYC debut tonight, March 7 through March 28 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, 407 West 42nd Street.
Renaissance Theaterworks (RTW) wraps up its 20th season with THE ROAD TO MECCA by Athol Fugard. Cabaret Icon Michael Feinstein returns to the McCallum Theatre with 'The Sinatra Project,' for two performances - tonight, March 1 and Saturday, March 2 -- dedicated to the great Frank Sinatra. Michael reflects Sinatra's sensibility by interpreting the songs in conceptually different styles from Sinatra's own renditions. The results are fascinatingly unique and memorably beautiful. Billed 'The Sinatra Project', the concert is presented in two parts on these consecutive evenings. In the second concert, Michael reinterprets songs by such greats as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peggy Lee, and more. 'The second volume is really about Sinatra and his friends,' says Michael. 'It's about the people he influenced and who influenced him.'

Juilliard's Center for Innovation in the Arts, under the direction of Edward Bilous, presents Beyond the Machine 13.1 with four free performances featuring multimedia and interdisciplinary works on Wednesday, March 27 (7:30 PM), Thursday, March 28 (8 PM), Friday, March 29 (8 PM), and Saturday, March 30 (8 PM) in Juilliard's Rosemary and Meredith Willson Theater. The three works include a theatrical adaptation of a short film, Versions (2010) directed by Oliver Laric; Preferred Project(ion); a multimedia dance-theater work directed and choreographed by Juilliard dancer Jenna Pollack; and a screening of The Projectionist (2003) directed by Michael Bates.
