THE CONDUCT OF LIFE to Play Hollywood Fringe, 6/6-28

THE CONDUCT OF LIFE traverses the volatile relationships and status woes of Orlando, an ambitious climbing lieutenant commander, his vigorous and trusting wife, Leticia, and their collection of servants, friends and/or prisoners. In this dark, gritty exploration of how people live complicit with an improvident government, we witness five characters use sex, violence, power, class struggle, and their own humanity to feed The Beast.

OUTSIDE MULLINGAR, THE WHIPPING MAN & More Set for George Street Playhouse's 2014-15 Season

Artistic Director David Saint has announced the slate of plays scheduled for the New Brunswick theatre's 2014-2015 season. George Street, which celebrated its fortieth season in 2013-14, continues the celebration with a slate of four plays ranging from direct-from New York dramas, to an a capella musical celebrating barbershop; to an examination of the Jewish faith in the years following America's Civil War. John Patrick Shanley's Outside Mullingar, direct from Broadway, opens the season in a production directed by Mr. Saint. John Markus and Mark St. Germain's a capella musical The Fabulous Lipitones follows, directed by Michael Mastro. Matthew Lopez's searing drama The Whipping Man begins 2015, followed by the 25th Anniversary Production of John Guare's Six Degrees of Separation, also directed by Mr. Saint. One additional production is yet to be selected, and will be announced at a later date.

DREAM OF PERFECT SLEEP to Begin 17 June at Finborough Theatre

Dream of Perfect Sleep, a multi-award winning new play by acclaimed American playwright Kevin Kautzman in his full length UK debut will receive its world premiere at the Finborough Theatre for a four week run from Tuesday, 17 June 2014 (Press Night: Thursday 19 June 2014 at 7.30pm).

THE ART OF BUILDING A BUNKER, THE DAISY THEATRE and More Set for Factory Theatre's 45th Season

e Co-Artistic Director's Nina Lee Aquino and Nigel Shawn Williams, and Managing Director, Sara Meurling present the 45th season of Factory Theatre consisting of five Factory premieres: THE ART OF BUILDING A BUNKER, written by Adam Lazarus and Guillermo Verdecchia; TAKE ME BACK TO JEFFERSON an adaptation of William Faulkner's AS I LAY DYING by Dean Gilmour and Michele Smith in collaboration with the company; TWISTED, written by Charlotte Corbeil-Coleman and Joseph Jomo Pierre; THE UNPLUGGING written by Yvette Nolan; MORRO AND JASP: 9-5, created and performed by Morro and Jasp; and as a special add-on to the subscription season, the return of THE DAISY THEATRE, created and performed by Ronnie Burkett. Hampton Theatre Company Closes 29th Season with GOD OF CARNAGE, Now thru 6/8

The all-too-thin veneer of tolerance and civility is first frayed and then comically shredded when two sets of parents attempt to discuss an altercation between their sons in Yasmina Reza's 'God of Carnage,' the Hampton Theatre Company's final production of the 2013-2014 season, running from tonight, May 22 to June 8 at the Quogue Community Hall.

Roundabout Theatre Company presents Tony Award winner, two-time Grammy Award winner and two-time Academy Award nominee Jim Dale in his solo show, Just Jim Dale, directed by Tony Award winner Richard Maltby, Jr. Just Jim Dale begins tonight, May 15 and officially opens on Tuesday, June 3 at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 46th Street). This will be a limited engagement.
