Alan Cumming's MACBETH Ends Broadway Run Today

Following a two-week extension, Alan Cumming's acclaimed one-man production of Macbeth concludes its limited Broadway engagement today at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 W. 47th St.). The production was originally slated to close on Sunday, June 30.

DANCE AGAINST CANCER, An Evening to Benefit the American Cancer Society, Set for 5/6

Rose Caiola, Stuart Coleman, Julia Gruen, Heather Watts, Christopher Wheeldon and producers Erin Fogarty and Daniel Ulbricht present the third annual Dance Against Cancer on Monday, May 6, 2013 with cocktails at 6pm (VIP ticket only), a performance at 7pm, and a reception at 8:30pm at the AXA Equitable Theater, 787 Seventh Avenue (between 51st and 52nd Streets), NYC. 2013 Drama League Nominations Announced -- KINKY BOOTS, PIPPIN & More Lead with 3!

The Drama League (Executive Director, Gabriel Shanks) has announced the 2013 Drama League Awards Nominees for Distinguished Play, Distinguished Revival of a Play, Distinguished Musical, Distinguished Revival of a Musical, and Distinguished Performance Award. The nominations were announced at a ceremony hosted by Patina Miller and Michael Urie this morning at Sardi's Restaurant which were streamed live online at www.BroadwayWorld.com.

MACBETH, Starring Alan Cumming, Begins Tonight on Broadway

Broadway's powerful new production of Shakespeare's Macbeth, starring Tony and Olivier Award winner and two-time Emmy Award nominee Alan Cumming (Cabaret, 'The Good Wife'), begins on Broadway tonight, April 7, 2013. Veteran stage actors Jenny Sterlin and Brendan Titley complete the cast.

MACBETH Box Office Opens on Monday

This Monday, March 18 at 10 a.m., the Ethel Barrymore Theatre Box Office opens for business for Broadway's powerful new production of Shakespeare's MACBETH, starring Tony and Olivier Award winner and two-time Emmy Award nominee Alan Cumming (Cabaret, 'The Good Wife').

CINDERELLA Cast Album in the Works; Recording Begins 3/18!

The company of RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA will enter the studio on March 18 to preserve the Original Broadway Cast Recording for Ghostlight Records. The Broadway premiere of the beloved romantic musical - currently running at the Broadway Theater - has been hailed as "Resplendent with a radiant score" by the Wall Street Journal, "Pure Magic" by the Associated Press and "A full-on romantic fantasy" by the New York Post. RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA has music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, a new book by Douglas Carter Beane and original book by Oscar Hammerstein II. The musical is directed by Mark Brokaw. Josh Rhodes is choreographer. Music adaptation, supervision and arrangements are by David Chase. Andy Einhorn is music director and conductor.

MYB and MMAC Set Annual Spring Workshop Performances for 3/15-17

Manhattan Youth Ballet and Manhattan Movement & Arts Center present Annual Spring Workshop Performances on Friday, March 15 at 7pm; Saturday, March 16 at 3pm & 7pm; and Sunday, March 17 at 3pm, at the Manhattan Movement & Arts Center, 248 West 60th Street, NYC (between Amsterdam and West End Avenues) in the Lincoln Center area. Advance tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for students. Tickets can be purchased online at www.manhattanyouthballet.org. Tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for students at the door.

CINDERELLA Opens on Broadway Tonight!

The celebrated musical RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S Cinderella, originally written for television in 1957 by the legendary musical theatre duo Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, will open tonight, March 3, at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway at 53rd Street).

WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? Concludes Limited Run Today

The critically-acclaimed 50th anniversary Broadway revival of Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? will play its final performance today, March 3rd at 3:00 PM. The production, which began performances on Thursday, September 27, 2012 and officially opened on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at the Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street) will have played 159 performances.
