Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2008 are being presented on Sunday, February 22, 2009, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center?, and televised live by the ABC Television Network. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 200 countries worldwide. Winners are updated below as they're announced in bold red.

Variety has reported that 'Mad Men' and 'Slumdog Millionaire' both snagged respective honors at the Art Director Guild Awards this past Saturday night, February 14th at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel.

The full list of winners for the British Academy of Film and Television arts were given out in London on February 8, 2009.

Fifteen of the 20 nominees in the acting categories will be among the almost 120 Academy Award nominees who will gather at noon on Monday (February 2) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel when the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences honors this year's Oscar contenders at its annual Nominees Luncheon. Additional confirmations are expected to come in over the weekend.

Rubicon Theatre Company continues its 'Brave New World' Season with Edward Albee's most intoxicated and haunting play, WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? Well known for his film and television appearances, James Earl Jones' acting career is firmly rooted in the theater. He was part of the historic company of Jean Genet's The Blacks, which incubated a generation of future black stars, and his long association with Joseph Papp's New York Shakespeare Festival saw him in classical plays including Hamlet, The Merchant of Venice and King Lear. Awards for his theater work include Tony Awards for the Broadway productions of The Great White Hope and Fences, a Tony Award nomination for On Golden Pond, and Obie Awards for Clandestine on the Morning Line, The Apple, Moon on a Rainbow Shawl and Baal, a Theatre World Award for Moon on a Rainbow Shawl and the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Fences. Additional theater credits include Paul Robeson, The Iceman Cometh,Of Mice and Men and seven different productions in the title role of Othello. He recently starred in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof on Broadway.
