After a number of extensions, the first New York revival of Tony Kushner's ANGELS IN AMERICA: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, directed by Michael Greif at the Signature Theatre will close on April 24.

As Bees in Honey Drown is coming to the Shimberg Playhouse this season. The theater is located at the David A. Straz, Jr. Center at 1010 N. W.C. MacInnes Place, Tampa, Florida. The show will play July 8-25. It will begin at 8PM Thursdays - Saturdays and Sundays at 4PM. Ticket Prices are $24.50 and $10 for Students and Seniors. Casting has been announced for The Laguna Playhouse's production of Noël Coward's celebrated comedy, Private Lives that runs March 15 - April 10, 2011. Directed by Andrew Barnicle, the cast for Private Lives features Julie Granata as Amanda, Joseph Fuqua as Elyot, Winslow Corbett as Sybil, and Matthew Floyd Miller as Victor.

The first preview of Tony Kushner's THE INTELLIGENT HOMOSEXUAL'S GUIDE TO CAPITALISM AND SOCIALISM WITH A KEY TO THE SCRIPTURES has been postponed a day to provide the cast and crew with an additional dress rehearsal. The production will now begin performances on Wednesday, March 23 at The Public Theater (425 Lafayette Street). The production is presented by The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Interim Executive Director Joey Parnes) and Signature Theatre Company (Founding Artistic Director James Houghton; Executive Director Erika Mallin) in association with the Guthrie Theater (Joe Dowling, Director). Michael Greif, who directed the world premiere at the Guthrie in April 2009, directs the New York premiere, which opens on Thursday, May 5 and runs through June 12.

LESSER AMERICA Granted Home at Iconic THEATER FOR THE NEW CITY

After working together on the critically acclaimed run of the original play 'Keep Your Baggage With You (at all times)' at Theater for the New City in 2010 (written by Jonathan Blitstein, directed by Daniel Talbott), Daniel Abeles, Jonathan Blitstein, Nate Miller and Laura Ramadei teamed up to launch a new theater company called LESSER AMERICA. Theater For the New City has granted Lesser America a residency affording the group three full-scale productions in its inaugural year, the first residency of its kind at the theater.

The Broadway community mourns the loss of Romulus Linney and Ellen Stewart, who both recently died at the ages of 80 and 91 respectively. The marquees of Broadway theatres in New York will be dimmed in their memory on Wednesday, January 19th, at exactly 8:00pm for one minute.

Playwright Romulus Linney died Saturday of lung cancer at home in Germantown, N.Y. He was 80 years old and also had a home in Manhattan, according to The New York Times.
