NEW YORK MUSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL (NYMF), MONICA RAYMUND of SISU THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS, and CAVE 76 PRODUCTIONS have released a little Jabali (their inner beast) by adding yet another performance of the world premiere of VOLLEYGIRLS on Friday, July 26 at 1 p.m.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) began earlier this week on July 8th and will continue through July 28th. An additional slate of special events, free events, staged readings and several educational panel discussions will be announced shortly. Below, check out a roundup of photos of this year's casts!

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) presents Swiss Family Robinson, a world premiere musical comedy by John and Patrick Kennedy. The 2013 New York Musical Theatre Festival and Angel Wings NYC present the New York premiere of THE AWAKENING OF ANGEL DELUNA, an original new musical set against the backdrop of a Depression era family circus. THE AWAKENING OF ANGEL DELUNA is an official selection of the 2013 New York Musical Theatre Festival and will play The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street) in Manhattan beginning July 12th, 2013 for 5 performances only. God's Country, an original musical by Erik Johnke (Book and Lyrics) and Elaine Chelton (Music) set in 19th Century New York City, will be presented at the 10th Annual New York Music Theatre Festival (NYMF) for five performances starting on Thursday, July 18, at 9:00 PM, at The Pershing Square Signature Center Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street. The musical is directed by Craig J. George and choreographed by Thomas-Sabella Mills. The Music Director is Bryan L. Wade.

NEW YORK MUSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL (NYMF), MONICA RAYMUND of SISU THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS, and CAVE 76 PRODUCTIONS are pleased to announce that after being on sale for only ten days, the world premiere production of VOLLEYGIRLS starring [title of show]'s Susan Blackwell is the first 2013 NYMF show to sell-out, allowing them to add two more performances to accommodate audiences. The new performances will beTuesday, July 23 at 5 p.m. and Saturday, July 27 at 1:30 p.m. at The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre (The Pershing Square Signature Center, 480 West 42nd Street, NY, NY 10036).

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) and Melodion Theatre present The Hills Are Alive!. Performances will take place from July 25 through July 26 at The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center, 480 W. 42nd Street. Official Opening is set for July 25.

Signature Theatre (James Houghton, Founding Artistic Director; Erika Mallin, Executive Director) will present an evening of cocktails and a special one-night-only concert starring one of Broadway's living legends, Betty Buckley, on Monday, September 30 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W. 42nd Street) to support the Legacy Program in honor of Horton Foote.

Auditions are currently underway for Prospect Theater Company's annual Musical Theater Summer Intensive for students aged 12-17. Beginning July 8 and running through July 27, students will participate in a daily musical theater training program from 10am - 6pm.

Blackwell will play a disgraced Olympian coaching an oddball team of high-school volleyball players in this new girl-powered musical with book by Rob Ackerman (Tabletop - 2001 Drama Desk), lyrics by Sam Forman (upcoming Bway Sleepless in Seattle, book for F#%king Up Everything), music by Eli Bolin (I Sing, Roller Boogie TV: Sesame Street), choreographed by Ryan Kasprazak (TV: Smash Tour: Billy Elliot) and directed by Neil Patrick Stewart (LA theatre: The Elephant Man - Ovation Award nominations). Television star Monica Raymund of NBC's Chicago Fire is making her debut as a lead produce because she believes in, and is inspired by, the show's positive message of self-acceptance and empowerment for young women.
