London's 'Summer of Love' comes to Center City in the Philly Fringe with the Philadelphia premiere of 'Traveling Light' by Philadelphia playwright Lindsay Harris Friel. The play is directed by Liam Castellan and produced by Liam's Sofa Cushion Fortress in The Skybox at The Adrienne Theater, tonight, September 6-14, 2013.

Written and directed by Regina Taylor, the play features cast members Michi Barall(Signature's Queens Boulevard, An Oresteia) as Deb, Teagle Bougere (Wings, A Raisin in the Sun) as Chris, Ismael Cruz Cordova ('The Good Wife') as J., LaTanya Richardson Jackson (The Fighting Temptations) as Jan, Carl Lumbly (Jitney, 'Alias') as Alex Ames and Donald Sage MacKay ('Scrubs') as Tim. The New American Playwrights Project at the Tony Award-winning, Utah Shakespeare Festival has selected L.A. playwright Tom Cavanaugh for the second time to participate in the company's premiere development theater workshop. He will develop his new play ADAM & YOSHI. Cavanaugh is the first out-of-state playwright to attend the program for a second time. In 2010, the Project developed his play BEHOLD, which explores what happens to a family when it loses a child in a school shooting caused by bullying. BEHOLD is now being considered for an Off-Broadway production in New York City and a TV movie with major cable networks in Los Angeles.

All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access. At this year's New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF), 'Standby,' which is from the original concept of Alfred Solis, a Filipino playwright, is joined by another Filipino theater artist Andrei Nikolai Pamintuan as assistant director to Carlos Armesto.
