The Joffrey Ballet is back on the boards in NYC for the first time since the company decamped to Chicago in 1995. At Lincoln Center's Koch Theater from March 29th to April 2nd 2017, the troupe founded by Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino in 1956 and now under the artistic direction of Ashley Wheater offers a new version of “Romeo & Juliet” choreographed by Krzysztof Pastor, as well as a one-evening Gala on March 31st.
John Leguizamo's LATIN HISTORY FOR MORONS Extends at The Public

The Public Theater announced today that three final performances have been added to the critically acclaimed New York premiere of Latin History for Morons, created and performed by John Leguizamo. Directed by Tony Taccone, this fiercely funny, satirical one-man show was inspired by Leguizamo's observation that Latinos are essentially invisible in the standard American history curriculum.
Jessica Wu's BRASS HEART THE MUSICAL Gets Benefit Workshop Presentation

Royal Family Production (RFP) will present a benefit workshop presentation of the new musical Brass Heart by RFP associate artistic director Jessica Wu. The musical will be directed by Chris Henry with choreography by Lorna Ventura and will take place on Sunday, April 2nd with a special pre-show cocktail reception ($250, reception begins at 5pm) and Monday, April 3rdat 12:30pm. The Watermill Theatre Announces Cast of TWELFTH NIGHT

Artistic and Executive Director, Paul Hart today announces the company for his new production of Twelfth Night continuing The Watermill Theatre's bold, ensemble driven approach to Shakespeare. Twelfth Night runs from 6 April to 6 May and in repertoire with Hart's 2016 production of Romeo + Juliet from 18 to 22 July. Both productions will tour nationally from Tuesday 16 May to Thursday 3 August

Soloist Russell Janzen has been promoted to the rank of principal dancer, and corps de ballet members Sara Adams, Harrison Ball, Emilie Gerrity, Joseph Gordon, Unity Phelan, Troy Schumacher, and Indiana Woodward have been promoted to Soloist.
