Oregon Ballet Theatre unravels the mysteries of the human heart this season with the help of toreadors and tortured artists, country girls and conjurers in the just announced 2011/2012 season. Our Fall Program will feature World Premiere Petrouchka from Nicolo Fonte coupled with the World Premiere of Carmen from Christopher Stowell. The holiday season features the return of Christopher Stowell's popular A Holiday Revue and George Balanchine's The Nutcracker. The heart of our Winter program is the World Premiere of Lola de Avila's Giselle. In the spring we bring a mixed repertory program, Chromatic Quartet, which features Company Premiere George Balanchine's Stravinsky Violin Concerto, Company Premiere Christopher Wheeldon's Liturgy, Val Caniparoli's Lambarena and a World Premiere new work.

McCarter Theatre will open its 2010-2011 season with Aurelia's Oratorio, conceived and directed by Victoria Thierrée Chaplin and starring Aurélia Thierrée. The production, which takes the audience through a surreal world of impossibilities and magical transformations, will play McCarter's Berlind Theatre from September 10 through October 17. (Press Opening: Thursday, September 16). The show, which runs 70 minutes without an intermission, is recommended for ages 10 and up. Aurelia's Oratorio is presented in association with ArKtype and Crying Out Loud UK.

Casting has been announced for the new Broadway musical COME FLY AWAY, conceived, choreographed, and directed by Tony Award-winner Twyla Tharp and featuring vocals by Frank Sinatra. COME FLY AWAY will star Matthew Dibble, Holley Farmer, Laura Mead, Charlie Neshyba-Hodges, Rika Okamoto, Karine Plantadit, Keith Roberts and John Selya, all of whom were in last fall's acclaimed world premiere production at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre.
