Shattered Globe Theatre is pleased to announce the appointment of Sandy Shinner as its new, full-time Producing Artistic Director. Shinner, who served more than 25 years as Associate Artistic Director at Chicago's Tony Award-winning Victory Gardens Theater, steps into the newly-created post following work as a project consultant for Shattered Globe under a grant from the Field Foundation. Shinner, who has directed over 100 productions in her career at theaters including Actors Theatre of Louisville's Humana Festival and Steppenwolf's First Look Rep, created and produced the nationally known IGNITION! Festival at Victory Gardens and was co-director of the award-winning Access Project. Roger Smart, who has served as Shattered Globe's Artistic Director since 2010, leaves his position to teach at West Virginia University. Smart, one of Shattered Globe's original members, will remain in the company's Ensemble.

Shattered Globe Theatre has announced its 22nd Season, to be performed in its new artistic home as a resident theatre company at Chicago's Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. The 2013-14 Season kicks off this fall with Jerry Sterner's provocative play OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY, directed by Victory Gardens Artistic Director Emeritus Dennis Zacek. In the winter, SGT presents six-time Tony Award nominee and Olivier Award winner OUR COUNTRY'S GOOD by Timberlake Wertenbaker, directed by SGT Artistic Director Roger Smart. The season concludes in the spring with Sally Nemeth's searing drama MILL FIRE, directed by Sandy Shinner. The Ensemble of Shattered Globe Theatre will present AN EVENING OF BECKETT starring renowned Beckett protege and San Quentin Drama Workshop founder Rick Cluchey in KRAPP'S LAST TAPE and his own solo piece, SAM AND RICK, in which he shares his personal experiences with the legendary Irish playwright. The two one-acts will play eight performances only, May 2 - 12, 2013 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago.
