The 2013 Newtown Arts Festival announces a special benefit concert, "Broadway Sings for Newtown," to be held as part of the festival's eight days of cultural programming on Thursday, September 19 at Walnut Hill Community Church, 156 Walnut Hill Road, in Bethel at 7 p.m. All tickets are $35 general admission and are available at NewtownArtsFestival.com.

On Sunday, January 10 at the China Club Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, Robert Schenkkan, and composer/lyricist Neil Berg presented an industry showcase of their new musical THE 12. Produced by Adam Friedson and Left Feild Productions, this musical showcase is a preview to its premiere production at the Broward Center this upcoming spring. The showcase, part of the Association of Performing Arts Presenters conference, was directed by Richard Seyd.

Neil Berg, the creator of '100 Years of Broadway' and the composer of the coming musical Grumpy Old Men, introduces a new theatrical event - The Twelve - an APAP showcase at the China Club (268 West 47th) on Sunday, January 13 at 7PM.
Producer Jeff Gardner presented a star-studded reading of his Broadway-bound Grumpy Old Men: The Musical on November 1 & 2.
