Music Theatre of Connecticut MainStage, Fairfield County's award-winning professional theatre company, continues its 2014/2015 season with 'Driving Miss Daisy' the Pulitzer prize-winning play by Alfred Uhry. ?The new artistic management team for the Old Fitz Theatre today announced the first six months programming in the 2015 season. Red Line Productions, run by Sean Hawkins, Andrew Henry and Vanessa Wright, have announced six mainstage plays and four late shows as part one of the season, entitled REINCARNATION.

MARK MY WORDS 2014: A WICKED COOL EVENING, tonight, October 21 at 8:00 p.m., is a once-in-a-lifetime event - a conversation between the creators of the book and Broadway smash Wicked. Gregory Maguire wrote the original novel Wicked - The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. Stephen Schwartz, legendary composer and lyricist of Pippin and Godspell, adapted Maguire's twisted take on L. Frank Baum's universe into one of the most successful musicals in history. Moderated by Connecticut theater legend Frank Rizzo, this is a unique opportunity to hear these creators talk about writing, music, theatre and, of course, the Wonderful World of Oz.

The Rainbow Theatre Project launches their second season on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. with an evening of staged readings featuring David Csontos' My Night with Rock Hudson, paired with four plays, affectionately referred to as the "Betty & Veronica Plays," by Mary Steelsmith. Film Society of Lincoln Center Announces Details for 'Fassbinder: Romantic Anarchist'

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today the details for Fassbinder: Romantic Anarchist (Part 1), May 16 - June 1. Divided into two parts, the retrospective will be the most extensive presentation of Fassbinder's films in New York since 1997, with Part 1 including almost all of his work leading up to 1974 and Part 2 (screening in November) to pick up from 1974 through 1982. The ambitious two-part series will include all of his theatrical features, much of his television work, films he starred in, films that influenced him, and films that were influenced by his work.
