The New York Musical Theatre Festival announces the six Next Broadway Sensation semi-finalists for their third annual contest, formerly known as Broadway Idol. Moving on to round two will be Frances Bordlee, Shawna M. Hamic, Mike Harrison, Omar Lopez-Cepero, Jennifer Sánchez, Nesha Ward, and Jamaal Wilson.

The 22ND ANNUAL BROADWAY FLEA MARKET & GRAND AUCTION was held this Sunday, September 21 from 10 AM - 7 PM in Shubert Alley (225 West 45th Street). Celebrities of theater and daytime television came out to show their support. As in previous years, Broadway and daytime fans had the opportunity to get their photo taken with various celebrities at the Celebrity Photo Booths. Two Celebrity Photo Booths were be in operation on Sunday

On Tuesday, September 16th Barnes & Noble Lincoln Square store hosted performances and a CD signing by the cast of 2008 Tony Award-winning Best Musical In The Heights. The performance was followed by a CD signing. Barnes & Noble at Lincoln Square is located at 1972 Broadway at 66th Street.

R.Evolución Latina is presenting a benefit reading of 'Yemaya's Belly', a new play from Tony Award Nominee, Quiara Alegria Hudes, featuring In The Heights cast members: Robin De Jesus, Eliseo Román, Tony Chiroldes, Janet Dacal, Doreen Montalvo and special guest, Carlos Gómez with Gabriela García.

[title of show] had their official Broadway opening on July 17th, 2008. [title of show] is written by Jeff Bowen and Hunter Bell. Michael Berresse directs. The cast stars Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell,Heidi Blickenstaff and Jeff Bowen. Larry Pressgrove is musical director.

Last night June 15, 2008 the 2008 Tony Awards took place at Radio City Music Hall. After the ceremony was over the nominees and winners attended an exclusive after party where they celebrated the end of a great year on Broadway.

This weekend, March 22 and 23, the cast of Broadway's 'In The Heights' laid-down tracks for their Original Cast Recording session at The Legacy Recording Studios (509 W 38th Street).

On Sunday March 9, 2008 The Broadway Opening Night Gypsy Robe Ceremony for In The Heights took place at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, where cast member Michael Balderrama was honored as the newest recipient.

In The Heights, which began previews February 14, at the Richard Rodgers Theater on Broadway, opens on Sunday, March 9.

The cast and creative team of In The Heights, the new Broadway-bound musical, held a press meet and greet on Monday, January 14 at the 42nd Street Studios. In The Heights will begin previews on Thursday, February 14, 2008, and open Sunday, March 9, 2008, at Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre.

Robin de Jesus and the cast of Fat Girls attended its world premiere special screening at the Cantor Film Center in New York City on Tuesday, October 30 at 7PM at East 8tr Street, Theatre 1. In appearance were cast members Joe Flaten, Ash Christian (also Director), Ashley Fink and Evan Miller.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) and Executive Director Kathy Evans announced the casts and directors of the eight musicals for its 19th Annual Festival of New Musicals to be held at New World Stages (340 West 50th St between 8th and 9th Avenues) on Sunday, October 7 and Monday, October 8, 2007.
