R.Evolución Latina is presenting a benefit reading of "Yemaya's Belly", a new play from Tony Award Nominee, Quiara Alegria Hudes, featuring In The Heights cast members: Robin De Jesus, Eliseo Román, Tony Chiroldes, Janet Dacal, Doreen Montalvo and special guest, Carlos Gómez with Gabriela García. Directed by In The Heights cast members Luis Salgado and Michael Balderrama, this reading is a fundraising event to help provide a free Arts Summer Camp during the month of August for underprivileged children. The reading will be held at 7pm on Monday, July 21th at Repertorio Español.  Tickets are $10 for general admission and $25 for reserved seating. The $10 general admission tickets may only be purchased in person the day of the event.

"R.Evolución Latina's goal is to help members understand that we are special, unique and valuable and that only by letting our own light shine that we will empower others to shine as well. By gathering a strong group of artists into the philosophy to "Dare to go beyond" we will be able to affect our Hispanic community while presenting works that inspire and motivate our people. Art was what saved me and gave me a guide to who I was, and I want to make sure that R.Evolución Latina passes that opportunity along to others"-Luis Salgado (Director, R.Evolución Latina)
