The Queer Composers For Orlando Concert will be hosted at Midtown Manhattan's Loft227 tonight, July 14th, in one of the largest gatherings of contemporary Musical Theater composers for a very special evening.

Robin Sokoloff and The Schulberts will present the newest musical by the writing/producing duo Charlie Schulman & Michael Roberts, GOLDSTEIN, directed by Christopher Scott. The musical, which is aimed for an Off-Broadway production, will be presented on Monday, June 13th at 7pm at Loft227 (227 W 29th Street).

Loft227 and Executive Producer Robin Sokoloff (THE LOST, SPOTLIGHT LIVE) launch a 4th season of environmental theatre in their Chelsea performance venue. Previous programming at Loft227 includes the beloved musical DANI GIRL (Exit, Pursued by a Bear), CHICK FLICK: THE MUSICAL (Daryl Roth), and LIVE FROM THE LOFT (EST Youngblood). Loft227's 2016 Season opens with THE GIANTS, PARTS ONE & TWO by Matthew Jellison, and will include THE LAST REQUEST OF CHARLES BEAUXNER, an immersive murder mystery by Matt Cox (PUFFS, KAPOW-I GOGO).

Jewish Book Council and Loft 227 to Host LITERARY MISCHIEF WITH SLASH COLEMAN, 9/23

Loft 227 and the Jewish Book Council will host 'Literary Mischief with Slash Coleman,' on September 23, 2013 from 6:00pm - 8:00 pm. The event will feature 4 Jewish authors reading and/or performing new work, including: Diana Spechler (six-time Moth StorySLAM winner/ author of 'Skinny'), Mara Altman (Village voice staff writer/ author of 'I'm Coming'), Joanna Hershon (Columbia University Writing Professor/ author of 'Dual Inheritance) and Slash Coleman (PBS producer/ author of 'The Bohemian Love Diaries'). Each author will also participate in one of Coleman's signature offbeat interviews and an audience Q&A. Signed copies of each featured book will be available for sale and audience members will have the opportunity to win free books.
