Kitty Warren has worked hard to provide a good life for her daughter. But when Vivie finds out the truth about her mother's profession, sparks fly. The Antaeus Company, L.A.'s multiple award-winning classical theater company, presents Mrs. Warren's Profession, the superbly intelligent-and still shocking- powerhouse of a play by George Bernard Shaw that was banned for eight years on the English stage. Antaeus co-artistic directors Bill Brochtrup, Rob Nagle and John Sloan have announced three classic plays for 2013 that include Mrs. Warren's Profession by George Bernard Shaw, The Crucible by Arthur Miller and David Ives' adaptation of Pierre Corneille's The Liar.

Robin Larsen directs the fully double cast production March 14 through April 21, with low-priced previews beginning tonight, March 7.

AiRealistic Presents BREAKING SURFACE, 3/19-23

'Breaking Surface' is an acrobatic aerial dance theater work staged in and over a thirty-by-twenty five foot shallow pool of water. It will be presented March 19 to 23 at Theater for the New City, 155 First Avenue (at E. 10th Street) by AiRealistic, an aerial theater company that was 'born out of a love of physical expression and an incessant urge to take wing.' It is performed by an ensemble of seven dancer/performers.
