Ballet22, a groundbreaking dance company presenting works that break gender normative traditions in the classical repertoire, will present Momentum, an evening of mixed repertory, July 28-29 at San Francisco's Z Space.

Epiphany Dance Theater has announced the program for the 19th annual San Francisco Trolley Dances (SFTD) October 22 - 23. Under the direction of Epiphany Artistic Director Kim Epifano and Managing Director Zoë Klein, this year's route connects San Francisco's South of Market to Chinatown along the city's new Central Subway, the Muni T-Line extension.
With a clear mission to create equal representation in the professional ballet field for men, mxn, transgender, and non-binary artists to perform professionally and “en pointe,” the program will feature beloved classics including an Act III Swan Lake Suite, the duet Symbiotic Twins, by world renowned choreographer, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, and an anticipated world premiere by Durante Verzola.
The season will recreate classical ballet repertoire works like Le Corsaire, Giselle, Carmen, Paquita in the historically accurate choreography to showcase the masterful technique of the artists while challenging heteronormative roles and costuming.
MARENA PEREZ, principal dancer of the Balleteatro Nacional de Puerto Rico, and ROBERTO VEGA, former first soloist of the National Ballet of Cuba, will appear as guest artists in the Alameda Civic Ballet's production of The Nutcracker on December 19 and 20, 2015 at the Kofman Theatre in Alameda, California.
