Audience Rewards Pre-Sale for AMERICAN PSYCHO on Broadway Begins Next Week

The producers of the American premiere of AMERICAN PSYCHO announce that tickets will go on sale exclusively to Audience Rewards members this coming Monday, October 19th. The pre-sale allows members of the rewards program an opportunity to purchase full price tickets to AMERICAN PSYCHO from Monday, October 19th - Thursday, October 22nd, before tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 23rd.

Retro Productions to Stage GOOD BOYS AND TRUE

Retro Productions celebrates its eleventh season with Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Glee/Big Love) drama, Good Boys and True which had its World Premiere at The Steppenwolf Theatre in 2007. The production is directed by DeLisa White who won a New York Innovative Theatre Award for Outstanding Director for Vincent Marano's Lights Narrow.

Penobscot Theatre Company to Hold Maine Premiere of DOCTOR CERBERUS

Penobscot Theatre Company is readying the first of three Maine premieres planned for 2015-2016: Doctor Cerberus, by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the story of an aspiring writer navigating the horrors of high school and the indignity of family life. The first preview is October 22, and the show will run through November 8 with all performances at the Bangor Opera House.

Millikin Theatre & Dance to Present ROUGH MAGIC

Millikin University's Department of Theatre and Dance will open its 2015-16 production season with Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's 'Rough Magic' starting Wednesday, Sept. 30 through Saturday, Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. The production will be directed by Dr. Thomas Robson, Millikin assistant professor of theatre and dance.

Dallas Theater Center Hosts Fall Celebration for Broadway-Bound 'MOONSHINE' Tonight

Dallas Theater Center announced today details for its upcoming MOONSHINE Celebration, which will take place tonight, September 12, 2015. Co-Chairs Brice Beaird, Elle Oberdick and Dan Waldmann, along with Honorary Chairs Lyn Muse and Kim Sheffield, will welcome guests to be among the first to experience DTC's newest Broadway-bound production MOONSHINE: That Hee Haw Musical at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theater.

Pulitzer Prize Winner THE FLICK Begins Tonight at Gloucester Stage

Gloucester Stage presents Annie Baker's The Flick from tonight, August 20 through September 12 at 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. Winner of the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, The Flick, follows three underpaid employees of a run-down movie theater in central Massachusetts as they mop the floors and attend to one of the last 35-millimeter film projectors in the state while also revealing touching and funny truths about their search for identity. Their tiny battles and not-so-tiny heartbreaks play out in the empty aisles of the movie theater, becoming more compelling than the lackluster, second-run movies on screen. In The Flick playwright Annie Baker uses keen insight and a finely-tuned comic eye to create a funny and heartfelt cry for authenticity in a fast-changing world. In addition to winning a Pulitzer Prize for The Flick, Ms. Baker also received the Susan Smith Blackburn Award and an Obie Award for Playwriting.

Adam McKay Teams with Funny Or Die for Broadway-Bound ARCHIE Musical

Writer/Director Adam McKay (Anchorman, Talladega Nights, You're Welcome America) and Funny Or Die have joined forces with Archie Comics,one of the most popular comics ever produced, to bring Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead and the Riverdale gang to Broadway in an all-new musical.  McKay is slated to bring his singular brand of comedy to the musical, writing the book for the show, with a creative team and timing for a New York run to be announced at a later date.

STAGE TUBE: On This Day for 6/14/15- SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK

Today in 2011, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark opened at the Foxwoods Theatre, where it ran for 1066 performances. Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark is a rock musical with music and lyrics by U2's Bono and The Edge and a book by Julie Taymor, Glen Berger, and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. The musical is based on the Spider-Man comics created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, published by Marvel Comics, as well as the 2002 film about the character and the Greek myth of Arachne. lt tells the story of the origin of the character, his romance with Mary Jane and his battles with the evil Green Goblin.

DTC Welcomes Jeffrey Woodward as New Managing Director

The Dallas Theater Center Board of Trustees announced today the appointment of Jeffrey Woodward as managing director of the 56-year-old organization. Woodward's experience includes Syracuse Stage and 17 years at McCarter Theatre Center. The appointment follows the departure of Heather M. Kitchen, who announced her retirement in September 2014. Woodward will formally assume his post in mid-July.
