Kelly Greyson, star of the film 'Alone Yet Not Alone,' announced today that she has signed a deal to star in the romantic comedic feature 'Unscripted,' currently in development at Mutual Film Company. This is Kelly's second project with Mutual Film Company.

The third play in MALIBU PLAYHOUSE's 2013-2014 season will be The Vortex by Noel Coward, opening Friday, April 11, 2014. The play will be directed by Artistic Director Gene Franklin Smith and stars Shannon Holt and Craig Robert Young. Tickets are $30, and may be purchased through the box office, online at http://www.malibuplayhouse.org or by calling 323-960-7711. There will be previews on April 9th and 10th for $20. Shows are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM and Sundays at 3 PM. Malibu Playhouse is located at 29243 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu, CA 90265 (near Zuma Beach, between Kanan-Dume Road and Morning View Drive, near Heathercliff Road).

As award season gets into full swing, Brits in LA, with presenting partner Jaguar North America announced that the 7th Annual 'Toscars' at The Egyptian Theatre, Hollywood, CA, will take place on the evening of Feb 26, 2014, benefiting the UKares Foundation charity. The Toscars is a live event that parodies the biggest award show of the year. Ten teams of ten people have 3 weeks in which to make spoofs upon the nominated films for Best Feature at the Academy Awards. The Whacademy made up of a team of experts in their field, hand selected from the Entertainment industry, decide the winners in ten categories including Best Whactor and Whactress. This year's comedy event will be hosted by Glee's Alex Newell, who plays Unique on the show. 'I'm excited to host this year's event. It's for a great cause and it's a chance for the celebs to let their hair down and have a lot of fun during an intense awards season.' --

Producer Michael Abbott Dies at 81

Michael Abbott, a long-time television, film, and theatre producer who produced the first New York production of Stalag 17 in 1951, died of cancer on Thursday January 24, 2008 at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan. He was 81.
