This week on 'The Glee Project,' Broadway star Idina Menzel ('Glee's' Shelby) mentored the contenders with a fitting theme of ‘theatricality.' During last night's series debut of Oxygen's 'The Glee Project,' the 12 contenders performed an energetic rendition of Katy Perry's mega-hit 'Firework.' Under the tutelage of 'Glee' guest mentor Darren Criss ('Glee's' Blaine), the group was coached on the theme of ‘Individuality' and how to stand out while being true to your personality. At the conclusion of the premiere episode, 'Glee' hopeful Bryce Ross-Johnson (22) of Westlake Village, CA was the first contender to be eliminated. Bryce was tasked with performing Bruno Mars' 'Just the Way You Are' for 'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy as a last chance - but the show must go on! The remaining 11 contenders will face their next ‘Glee'-inspired challenge on Sunday, June 19th at 9pm ET/PT, only on Oxygen.

Calling all Gleeks - The wait is finally over as Oxygen premieres 'The Glee Project' on Sunday, June 12 at 9pm ET/PT when one lucky winner from a field of 12 contenders will win the chance of a lifetime - a seven episode guest-starring role on the mega-hit series 'Glee.'

According to the Hollywood Reporter, GLEE creator Ryan Murphy has revealed that there may be more than one GLEE PROJECT finalist making it into Season 3 of Fox's hit show. Casting director Robert Ulrich told THR: 'I do think that all 12 of these kids could not only be on Glee but they will go on to do other things. We will see them all around whether it be in music or in acting, stage or film and theater. I'm hoping that we see more than just the winner on Glee.'

The special musical event will premiere on Friday, February 4 at 7pm ET/PT with additional broadcasts at 9:30pm and 12am ET/PT. Coming off of the theatrical release last year, 'Grease Sing-A-Long' will transport fans back to Rydell High with the unforgettable music of 'Grease' scrolling across their television screens. For the first time on television, sing-a-long with Danny and Sandy and your own crew of T-Birds and Pink Ladies for a carnival ride back to those amazing summer nights!

Grease Sing-a-Long! will air on the Oxygen Channel on February 4th at 9:30pm.

According to Reuters, THE GLEE PROJECT, which will go behind the scenes of casting a guest spot for FOX's hit musical comedy, has been attracting thousands of auditionees around the world. Twelve finalists have been chosen from the initial 40,000 that have auditioned for the reality show, which will air on Oxygen in June.

Oxygen Media and Casting Duo, in association with Robert Ulrich, casting director of 'Glee,' will begin the casting search for 'The Glee Project' with open calls in Chicago on Saturday, December 18 and Sunday, December 19 and in Dallas on Saturday, January 8 and Sunday, January 9. Aside from these open calls, the team will also be reaching out to the next wave of professional performers through official industry channels in order to ensure everyone is included in this opportunity. 'The Glee Project,' where performers will compete for a multi-episode guest-starring role on season three of hit series 'Glee,' will premiere on Oxygen in June 2011.
