Robert Spencer - all stars from the original cast of Broadway's Jersey Boys - are fighting back against Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice and the producers of Jersey Boys - Dodger Theatricals, Ltd. and Jersey Boys Broadway L.P. - in an effort to defend their right to continue to thrill audiences with concerts that are, and always have been, purely an evening of music from multiple iconic groups of the 1960s, and of reminiscences of their Broadway experiences.

In April, it was announced that Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio - two of the original Jersey Boys of The Four Seasons - along with JERSEY BOYS: The Musical writers Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice filed a law suit against six former JERSEY BOYS: The Musical performers, claiming that their tour, 'The Boys in Concert,' rips off of the Broadway musical in unauthorized ways. The New York Post reported that 'The Rock 'n Roll Hall of Famer claims 'The Boys in Concert' steals songs, stage elements and copyrighted logos to dupe patrons into thinking it's an 'authorized road company' of the long-running Broadway musical.'

Broadway veteran James Moye will headline 'The Songbook Series,' directed by John Znidarsic, Monday, May 24th at 6pm at the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. The concert, free to the general public, celebrates the work of up and coming composer and lyricist Tommy Newman.
