Novato Theater Co. to Stage AVENUE Q, 10/9-11/9

Novato Theater Company brings on that risque array of puppets and people in the Tony Award-winning musical comedy, Avenue Q. Veteran director Carl Jordan, an SFBATCC award-winner, helms the show, with music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, and book by Jeff Whitty. Music director is Monica Norcia. Avenue Q runs October 10 through November 9 at the NTC Playhouse, 5420 Nave Drive in Novato.

SHOYU ON RICE, THE UNDERNEATH & More Set for Kumu Kahua Theatre's 44th Season

Kumu Kahua Theatre announced their season at Kaka'ako Agora, for a full-house crowd. Kumu Kahua Theatre Artistic Director, Harry Wong, announced the season and gave descriptions and dates for each of the shows, and then a team of actors performed a reading of the first play of the season.

Romance is in bloom when Virginia Stage Company presents the world's longest-running musical, The Fantasticks, with book & lyrics by Tom Jones and music by Harvey Schmidt. It will take the Wells Theater stage on March 27-April15 under the direction of Jose Zayas.

Screen Actors Guild today announced the results of elections for its top two elected positions and National Board. Ken Howard has been re-elected for a second term as Screen Actors Guild president, and Amy Aquino will continue in her role as secretary-treasurer. Both will serve two-year terms, beginning September 25.
