BELLINI AND THE SULTAN Begins Tonight at FringeNYC

The Turkish American Repertory Theatre in association with the 17th Annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC - presents Bellini and the Sultan: A Comedy in Istanbul, a unique adventure-comedy that explores how Muslims and non-Muslims can communicate and understand one another's cultures. The cast of 8 includes Alan Smith, Eliud Kauffman, Christopher McAllister, Amir Levy, Everett Goldner, Chris Olson, Temi Hason, and Kate Szekely. Performances will be staged at Venue #16: Robert Moss Theatre at 440 Studios, 440 Lafayette Street, NYC for five performances from today, August 13-24, 2013.

Monica Byrne's WHAT EVERY GIRL SHOULD KNOW Begins Tonight at FringeNYC

The Order of St. Margaret Sanger will present WHAT EVERY GIRL SHOULD KNOW by Monica Byrne, directed by Jaki Bradley, as part of the 17th annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC, and feature the music of Amanda Palmer. The production will run tonight, August 9th - 25th at Venue #16: Robert Moss Theater at 440 Studios.

Berkshire Theatre Group Stages PETER PAN at The Colonial, Now thru 8/18

Berkshire Theatre Group presents Peter Pan, Berkshire Theatre Group's 8th Annual Children's Theatre Production, and the 3rd Children's Theatre Production at the Colonial in Pittsfield. The production opens tonight, August 8th at 7pm and closes on August 18.

BRENDA Set for Fringe NYC at Robert Moss Theater, Begin. 8/13

BRENDA, a supernatural road-trip play written by EST Youngblood member and Yale graduate Cory Finley, will receive its world premiere in the 2013 New York International Fringe Festival. Performances begin August 13 at the Robert Moss Theater at 440 Studios.

INFALLIBILITY to Play Robert Moss Theater as Part of FringeNYC, 8/14-22

After being whisked off to Rome and tricked into playing a role in the infamous Cadaver Synod, 18-year-old actor and priest-in-training Carlo Contadino has been imprisoned. With the help of Saint Genesius - the Patron Saint of Actors, Clowns, and Lawyers - he must perform his story, regain his faith, and find a happy ending.

Jon Steinhagen's BLIZZARD '67 Set for FringeNYC, Begin. 8/13

Isle of Shoals' THAT LADY FROM MAXIM'S Lands 6 New York Innovative Theatre Award Nominations

In a festive celebration at XL Night Club on Monday, July 23, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation announced 6 nominations for the Isle of Shoals Production of That Lady from Maxim's, including Outstanding Production of a Musical. Bryan Williams, who contributed book, music and lyrics for the musical-farce, was nominated for both Outstanding Original Music and Original Full-Length Script; Lance Hewett received a nomination for Outstanding Director; two performers from the musical were nominated, Amara Haaksman for Outstanding Actress in a Lead Role and Marissa Rosano for Outstanding Actress in a Featured Role; and the entire cast received a nomination for Outstanding Ensemble (Amanda Baumler, Michael R. Buscemi, Amara Haaksman, Arthur Lundquist, Alex Mace, John Mervini, Tom Morin, Anna Price, Marissa Rosano, Stephen Ryan and Cecilia Vaicels).

Josue Gutierrez Guerra to Lead PENINSULA at FringeNYC; Full Cast Announced!

PENINSULA, a world-premiere play by Nathan Wright, will be presented as part of the 17th Annual New York International Fringe Festival - Fringe NYC, held this year from August 9th - 25th. Produced by In Absentia Productions and directed by Nadia Foskolou, PENINSULA stars Angela Atwood, Vanessa Bartlett, Josue Gutierrez Guerra, Kellan Peavy, Marc Sinoway (Logo's 'Hunting Season'), and John Zdrojeski. PENINSULA will play five performances at 'Fringe Venue #16,' Robert Moss Theater at 440 Studios (440 Lafayette Street): Wednesday, 8/14 at 4:15 pm; Friday, 8/16 at 8:45 pm; Saturday, 8/17 at 5:15 pm; Monday 8/19 at 9:00 pm; and Thursday 8/22 at 2:30 pm. The 17th Annual New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC) presents Milk for Mrs. Stone, a new play by Charles Gershman about a family struggling to accept that life doesn't always go as planned.
