The Lakewood Playhouse is proud to present its 4th Annual 'special' joint presentation with its very own Lakewood Institute of Theatre -- TREASURE ISLAND -- for nine shows only. The famous story by Robert Louis Stevenson is adapted by Ken Ludwig and is sure to be a fantastic, swashbuckling tale of rollicking adventure for the entire family this holiday season. Brooklyn Art Song Society's Next Concert Set for 12/3

Brooklyn Art Song Society returns to the Brooklyn Historical Society on December 3rd 2015 for part three of Britannica after last year's sold out all-Poulenc program. For this program BASS features two of the most beloved British song cycles: Gerald Finzi's A Young Man's Exhortation and Ralph Vaughan William's Songs of Travel. For A Young Man's Exhortation Finzi set the poetry of Thomas Hardy (Tess of the d'Urbervilles); in fact, the relationship between Finzi and Hardy is akin to that between Schubert and Goethe. Songs of Travel captures the romance and idealism of youth through the works of Robert Louis Stevenson (Treasure Island). Gerald Finzi's masterpiece will be performed by tenor Dominic Armstrong accompanied by pianist Michael Brofman. Baritone Sydney Outlaw and pianist Brent Funderburk both make their BASS debut with Songs of Travel.

Lookingglass Theatre Company announces casting for the remainder of its 2015-2016 season, which includes Federico Garcia Lorca's Blood Wedding, directed by Ensemble Member Daniel Ostling, and the World Premiere of Thaddeus and Slocum: A Vaudeville Adventure, written by Ensemble member Kevin Douglas and co-directed by Ensemble Member J. Nicole Brooks and Krissy Vanderwarker. Blood Wedding runs March 2 - April 24, 2016 with tickets on sale to the general public starting January 13, 2016. Thaddeus and Slocum runs June 1 - August 7, 2016 with tickets on sale to the general public starting April 6, 2016. Upcoming programming for Center Theatre Group's The Shop in 2015 will include readings of four plays - 'Papa? esta en la Atlantida' by Javier Malpica, 'Stories from the Indian Boarding School,' by Native Voices Artists Ensemble, 'Martina y los Hombres Pajaro' by Monica Hoth and 'Emma and the Suzies' by Anthony Aguilar.
