Central Works to Present World Premiere of Patricia Milton's HEARTS OF PALM in July

Central Works (CW) presents the world premiere of Patricia Milton's latest political comedy Hearts of Palm, opening with a press night July 16th (previews July 14th &15th), and running through August 14 at the historic Berkeley City Club. Unrequited Love meets Unregulated Capitalism in Milton's very funny new play Hearts of Palm, developed in the Central Works Writers Workshop. A multi-award winning playwright, Patricia Milton's hit Enemies: Foreign and Domestic, wan produced by Central Works in 2015 and awarded "Outstanding World Premiere" by Theatre Bay Area (TBA) when judged against all Bay Area theater companies.

Lookingglass Education and Community Programs offer summer camps that feature a broad variety and depth of programming designed to offer a unique theatrical experience for all. Lookingglass summer camps instruct students through ensemble-based techniques of transformation, adaptation and invention, instilling self-esteem and confidence in every student. Students develop strong theatrical skills by working with stories from a variety of genres, as well as create new work.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the West Coast premiere of Treasure Island by Tony Award-winning director Mary Zimmerman. Critically praised as "nothing short of sublime" (Chicago-Sun Times), and "Zimmerman remains a superior storyteller " (Chicago Tribune), Treasure Island, a co-production with Chicago's Lookingglass Theatre Company, is a glorious adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's most beloved novel. The Chicago Mammals remount their highly acclaimed production CLAY CONTINENT - JEKYLL AND HYDE. OCP Presents Free Staged Reading of TREASURE ISLAND

A staged reading of Treasure Island will be held at the Omaha Community Playhouse as part of the Alternative Programming series Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in OCP's Hawks Mainstage Theatre.
