At His Best tells the stories of two women living in two different times in the same apartment. The first woman, Ann (Laura Barati), finds herself waking up the morning of her wedding day next to a man who is not her husband-to-be (Rob Vignisson). Her fiancé, Freddy (Ed Porter), is no where to be found. Twenty five years later, Ann's daughter, Caroline (Elee Schrok), is prepping for her own wedding that is only a week away with her fiancé Tom (Kevin Fanshaw). She is visited by a mysterious man (Robert Koon) who claims to have known her mother well. As Caroline befriends the Old Acquaintance, secrets about the past and her mother are revealed, leaving her more skeptical of the truth and of her visitor's intentions. The truth becomes clear about the dark events of the past and tensions rise as Caroline's wedding day draws near.
