Winner of Best Comedy at the 2014 Olivier Awards and following an award-winning run at the West End's Duke of York's Theatre, the effervescent, aristocratic fool Bertie Wooster and his dutiful valet, Jeeves arrive in Exeter in the critically acclaimed stage play JEEVES & WOOSTER in PERFECT NONSENSE, Tues 29 September - Sat 3 October 2015.
The hit West End comedy is now on tour, starring James Lance (Teachers, The Book Group, I'm Alan Partridge) as charmingly incompetent aristocrat Bertie Wooster and John Gordon Sinclair (Gregory's Girl, The Producers, The Ladykillers - West End) as his unflappable and ever well-informed valet Jeeves.
Robert Webb re-joins the Olivier award-winning comedy Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense on tour from February - April 2015 following his West End run earlier this year. Jason Thorpe will play Jeeves and the role of Seppings will be played by Christopher Ryan from February - June 2015. The trio will be taking over from John Gordon Sinclair (Jeeves), James Lance (Bertie Wooster) and Robert Goodale (Seppings).
John Gordon Sinclair returns to the stage in Scotland and will for the first time perform in a Glasgow theatre as one half of the iconic duo Jeeves and Wooster. John had West End audiences rolling in the aisles with laughter as the unflappable valet Jeeves in the Olivier Award-winning hit Perfect Nonsense. Starring alongside James Lance as the charmingly incompetent Bertie Wooster and co-writer Robert Goodale as Seppings, the trio will be serving up the laughs at the Theatre Royal Glasgow on Monday 24 November for one week only.
This adaptation keeps all the humour of P G Wodehouse's original books, and creates much of its own. The array of batty characters is brought to life superbly by a new cast in this three-hander farce.
'What ho! Turns out, Jeeves and I belong on stage. I'm having a splendid time at the Duke of York's Theatre with Jeeves and we shall continue recounting the complex case of that ghastly girl Gussie Fink-Nottle, my Aunt Dahlia and that dastardly cow-creamer until 17 January 2015. Of course Jeeves will be in touch in due course to update everyone with any information you might require to enjoy a topping night at the theatre' - Bertie Wooster
John Gordon Sinclair and James Lance will play iconic duo Jeeves and Wooster in the Olivier Award-winning hit Perfect Nonsense in the West End and on tour, replacing the current cast, Robert Webb and Mark Heap, from 30 June 2014. Co-writer Robert Goodale will take over from Mark Hadfield as Seppings.
