New Jersey Repertory Company (NJRep) in Long Branch will present 'Our Shrinking, Shrinking World' written by Richard Dresser and directed by Joe Cacaci. Broadwayworld had the pleasure of interviewing Kevin O'Rourke who plays Dr. Lyman Hidalgo-Nyquist in the show about his career and the upcoming show at NJ Rep.

'A Bronx Tale,' playing this week at Starlight Theatre, is one of those hidden gems of a show that enjoyed a fairly limited Broadway run. And because the Broadway run ended last fall after 700 performances (for now), a good portion of the New York cast has signed up for the touring company and are performing for Kansas City audiences. These folks obviously love this show. It shows in the performance.

For two brothers, Russell and Tracey, new to the armed robbery industry, what seems like easy money turns out to be a lot more difficult than it looks in the movies in John Kolvenbach's hilarious Bank Job. When heist plans A and B (and C through F) fail, the brothers find themselves locked in the executive bathroom with no way out and no choice but to depend on a brave bank teller, a guileless cop, and the man in the shadows who put them up to the whole thing. The unsung heroes, the casting directors, will have their time in the spotlight in Casting By, a Ridgefield Playhouse Documentary Film Series event, at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday, November 15, at 7:30 p.m. This event will profile the last 50 years of Hollywood history including the box office sensations Midnight Cowboy, The Graduate and Bonnie and Clyde. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with?Director Tom Donahue (pictured), Executive Producer?John Balis, Producer?Ilan Arboleda, Casting Director Gretchen Rennell and Film Editor Jill Schweiter. Two one-of-a-kind film events are coming to The Ridgefield Playhouse beginning Friday, November 1, at 7:30 p.m. with Hidden Hills?starring Ted Trent and Tim O'Leary, in a Northeast Film Premiere. This is a comedy that turns social conventions on their heads, i.e. being overweight is ideal and being gay is the norm.
