Stratford, Ontario's Stratford Shakespeare Festival has announced the lineup for the 2011 Festival.

The Hartt School is the comprehensive performing arts conservatory of the University of Hartford. Hartt offers innovative degree programs in music, dance, and theatre.

The Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz of The Hartt School Present Amiri Baraka & Blue Ark The Hartt School and The Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz, in collaboration with the Artists Collective and the Jackie McLean International Arts Festival, celebrates Black History Month with a lecture and concert with poet/playwright/activist Amiri Baraka and word-music ensemble Blue Ark on Wednesday, February 3.

The Annenberg Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Penn Presents/Dance Celebration 09/10 Season includes many great dance, theater and music performances. Currently students can get $10 tickets to all performances through the Ben's Tix Program. (Ticket sale runs Sept. 17-19)

The Hartt School proudly announces the appointment of Rita Porfiris as Assistant Professor of Viola. She will assume her new post in September. Born in New York, Porfiris received both her BM and MM in Viola Performance from The Juilliard School.

On Monday, March 7, the 92nd Street Y presents The Rage of Achilles-the world premiere of Kathryn Walker's adaptation for the stage of Robert Fagles' translation of The Iliad.
