Chicago Cabaret Professionals (CCP) and Drury Lane Theatre Water Tower Place, 175 E. Chestnut Street, announce three new Musical Mondays performances due to the out success of the monthly cabaret concert series launched in 2008. All shows in the Musical Mondays at Drury Lane series begin at 7:30 p.m. at Drury Lane Theatre Water Tower Place. Chicago Cabaret Professionals will again spread joy and music in their 10th annual holiday concert, in it's 10th anniversary year, with TWO SHOWS. Over two nights, audiences will enjoy over 40 talented singers. All proceeds will benefit Teen Living Programs (Dec 1) and Save the Children (Dec 2).

Artistic Director Charles Newell and Executive Director Dawn Helsing announce the addition of new performances dates for the Chicago Premiere production of Caroline, or Change by Tony Award-winner Tony Kushner and Jeanine Tesori, directed by Charles Newell. The production has been extended through Sunday, October 26, 2008, at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Avenue.

Today, the Jefferson Awards announced the 150 nominations in 35 categories for Chicago Equity theatrical productions which opened between August 1, 2007 and July 31, 2008. Beginning with this season, the Jeff Awards is acknowledging the work of Large and Midsize theatres in separate categories for productions and technical elements.

Court Theatre continues its 53rd season with Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical, Carousel, directed by Artistic Director Charles Newell with musical direction by Doug Peck. The co-production with Long Wharf Theatre runs March 6 - April 13, 2008, at Court Theatre (5535 S. Ellis Ave). The official press opening is Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 8PM.

Porchlight Music Theatre presents a musical tribute to Tony-Award winning composer and lyricist, Maury Yeston. This magical night of music from the creator of Grand Hotel, Phantom, Nine and Titanic starring some of Chicago's musical theatre and cabaret stars, will take place on Monday, February 11 at 7:30PM at the Lakeshore Theater, 3175 N. Broadway, Chicago. The evening will include performances by cast members from Altar Boyz, Jersey Boys and Wicked.
