The Philly POPS tips its hat to America's blockbuster films during Epic Hollywood Soundtracks from this weekend, April 10-12, 2015. Music Director Michael Krajewski created this program featuring The Philly Pops Festival Chorus, a volunteer 125-voice chorus directed by Jeff Kern, who will join him in bringing his vision to life. This performance will include popular selections from Gone with the Wind, Ben Hur, Dances With Wolves, Pirates of the Caribbean and Lord of the Rings. On Today, April 10 (8 p.m.), Saturday, April 11 (3 p.m.), and Sunday, April 12 (3 p.m.), Epic Hollywood Soundtracks will take place at Verizon Hall of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts on Avenue of the Arts in Philadelphia.

In a thrilling rock retrospective, the highly acclaimed Rock Tenors Micah Wilshire, Rob Evan, and Shem von Schroeck join forces with The Philly POPS for Legends of Rock on Friday, May 15 through Sunday, May 17.

Whether he's swingin' like Frank Sinatra or sizzlin' like Jerry Lee Lewis, internationally acclaimed singer/pianist Tony DeSare will thrill The Philly POPS audiences in American Songbook, Then and Now on Friday, March 13, through Sunday, March 15. Conducted by Philly POPS Music Director Michael Krajewski, DeSare will perform the great jazz standards from the classic American Songbook and add new standards that bring a contemporary touch to this collection of music. The concerts will take place in Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, March 13, at 8 p.m.; and on Saturday, March 14, and Sunday, March 15, at 3 p.m.

It continues with a salute to the American Songbook Then and Now and a visit to the movies with Epic Hollywood Soundtracks. The season ends with the Legends of Rock.

The Ballad of Pondlife McGurk is a touching coming-of-age tale about friendship, betrayal and overcoming adversity. Co-produced by Windmill Theatre and Barking Gecko Theatre Company, this Catherine Wheels Theatre Company production will be in Adelaide for only three performances this weekend, 8 - 9 August at Tandanya Theatre.
