Pixie Lott will star as Holly Golightly in a limited 12-week season of Breakfast at Tiffany's at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London's West End in 2016.  This will follow the first UK and Ireland tour of Truman Capote's classic tale brought to life so memorably by Audrey Hepburn in the 1961 film.  It will be presented in a co-production with the Curve Theatre, Leicester.  The novella has been adapted for the stage by Pulitzer Prize-winning Finalist and Tony and Olivier Award-winning playwright Richard Greenberg (Take Me Out, Three Days of Rain), and contains memorable songs from the era as well as original music by Grant Odling (One Man, Two Guvnors). 

Center Theatre Group launches the First National Tour of Roald Dahl's 'Matilda The Musical' this Sunday, June 7 at 4 p.m. at the Ahmanson Theatre. Tim Minchin, the internationally celebrated composer and comedian behind the music and lyrics of the sensational Broadway hit Matilda The Musical, will join 5th Avenue audiences for the next Spotlight Night, The 5th Avenue's behind-the-curtains look at upcoming productions. Hosted by Executive Producer and Artistic Director David Armstrong, this Spotlight Night will preview the theater's upcoming summer shows: the ever popular Grease, the final show of the 2014/15, season and Matilda The Musical, the smash hit that opens the 2015/16 season.

The First National Tour of Matilda the Musical, produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers, launches tonight, May 29, with an official tour opening set for June 7, 2015 at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles.

Penobscot Theatre Company's Dramatic Academy presents James and the Giant Peach, a dramatized version of Roald Dahl's hilariously heartwarming story, at the Bangor Opera House this weekend, May 29 and 30 at 6:00 pm and May 31 at 3:00 pm.

In this taut 2013 theatrical adaptation of Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela's award winning-book, the apartheid regime's most notorious assassin and head of its death squad, Eugene de Kock (played by Matthew Marsh), sits opposite psychologist Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela (played Noma Dumezweni) in Pretoria Central Prison in 1997. Gobodo-Madikizela is a member of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission determined to understand his actions. She questions de Kock, who is sentenced to two life terms plus 212 years for crimes against humanity, murder, conspiracy to murder, attempted murder, assault, kidnapping, illegal possession of firearms, and fraud.

The award-winning crowd-pleaser MATILDA THE MUSICAL has been announced as the seventh title in the 2015-2016 Bushnell Broadway Series season. MATILDA will play The Bushnell April 26 - May 1, 2016. Other titles in the Series are THE ILLUSIONISTS, a mind-blowing showcase of magic and illusion; family friendly smash hits Disney's NEWSIES and Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA; LOVE LETTERS, starring Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal; and crowd-pleasing sensations MOTOWN THE MUSICAL and DIRTY DANCING. The 2015-2016 Bushnell Broadway Series is co-sponsored by Farmington Bank and Travelers.
