Roald Dahl's children's classic 'James and the Giant Peach' runs from January 22nd to February 28, 2016, at the Magik Theatre, 420 S Alamo St, San Antonio, TX 78205. Telephone (210) 227-2751. When James is sent by his aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion which results in a tremendous peach. Suddenly, James finds himself in the center of the gigantic peach on a journey with human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities. Thanks to James' quick wits and creative thinking, the travelers learn to live and work together.

Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC) launches its 2016 year with the musical James and the Giant Peach, based on the popular book by Roald Dahl (1916-1990) with a score written by Tony Award nominated duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dear Evan Hansen, A Christmas Story). Sponsored by Geico Insurance, James and the Giant Peach features a talented cast including Helen Hayes Award Nominated Jimmy Mavrikes (First Stage, Bat Boy) and the much-praised Tobias Young (Olney's Guys and Dolls). ATMTC Academy Pre-Professional Company Members, Eli Schulman and Henry Neipoetter, share the role of James. Directed by Helen Hayes Award Recipient and Artistic Director of The Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, Michael Baron, the show runs February 14- April 5, 2016. Disney and ABC Launch 'Magic of Storytelling' Campaign

Today, Disney announced that it will donate its 50 millionth book to First Book, a nonprofit that provides new books to educators and organizations serving children from low-income families. To celebrate this milestone, Disney and ABC are inviting consumers to join the fourth annual Magic of Storytelling campaign through a number of activities between now and March 31, 2016, including the first annual Disney Reads Day on February 6, 2016.
