The Des Moines Community Playhouse presents the musical, 'Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka,' Dec. 2-18, 2016.

Director of Nuffield Southampton Sam Hodges today announces the full cast for its brand new adaptation of Roald Dahl's classic Fantastic Mr Fox, a co-production with Curve, in association with Lyric Hammersmith.

The Tony Award® winning Matilda the Musical will close on January 1, 2017, after playing 37 previews, 1,555 regular performances, and one Actors Fund performance. The production opened on April 11, 2013 (previews began March 4) at the Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street). The show just celebrated its 1500th performance and BroadwayWorld was on hand for the special day. Check out photos below!

Last week, Matilda the Musical - that soaring celebration of storytelling - marked its fifth year in the West End. Appropriately enough, the show begins with a birthday party in the marvellously caustic "Miracle" (over 41,000 balloons have been used since the show opened at the Cambridge Theatre), and the audience was invited to join the party, treated to birthday cupcakes in the interval. Today, Les Petits Theatre Company have announced the full cast and ten further tour dates for the world premiere of the stage adaptation of David Walliams' The First Hippo on the Moon. The cast includes Dominic Allen, Alice Bounce, Caroline Bowman, Owen Jenkins and Rosie Nicholls.

TIME Magazine's #1 Show of the Year, MATILDA THE MUSICAL, is coming to Orange County as part of Segerstrom Center for the Arts 2016-17 Broadway Series. Produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Dodgers, this first national tour of MATILDA THE MUSICAL will be performed in Segerstrom Hall January 17 - 29, 2017.

Tim Minchin will not be put in a box. Though the composer is best known for his Tony-nominated score for the stage adaptation of Roald Dahl's 'Matilda' as well as a series of hugely successful symphonic comedy tours, the man himself is living, breathing proof of the term, 'Jack of all trades.' Outside of his comedic and theatrical pursuits, Tim has also assumed the titles of actor, director, poet, and writer.

Director Sam Hodges today announces the Spring 2017 season for the newly re-branded NST, Nuffield Southampton Theatres.  The name change recognises the addition of a brand-new venue in the heart of Southampton which opens in autumn 2017.
