The Columbus Symphony Orchestra (CSO) is accepting volunteer applications for the 2010 Picnic With the Pops and Popcorn Pops. All concerts are evening performances and held on the lawn of Chemical Abstracts Service (2540 Olentangy River Rd.). The first show is Spectrum in a Tribute to Motwon and R&B on Saturday, June 19. Additional concert include Patriotic Pops on July 3 and 50's Dance Party: A Tribute to Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens on July 17. Lyric Theatre, Oklahoma's premiere professional theatre company, introduces its 2010 Lyric at the Civic Center Summer Season. Lyric will start off the 2010 season in June, with Pump Boys & Dinettes (June 22-26), followed by Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (July 6-10), 42nd Street (July 20-24) and BUDDY: The Buddy Holly Story (August 3-7).
