Opera-Theater Work AGING MAGICIAN, Featuring Brooklyn Youth Chorus, Coming to New Victory Theater

Co-created by Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk Award winner Julian Crouch (Hedwig and the Angry Inch; The Addams Family; Shockheaded Peter, New Vic 1999; Wolves in the Walls, New Vic 2007), Grammy Award winner and Pulitzer Prize finalist Rinde Eckert (Renee Fleming VOICES, Orpheus X, Horizon, And God Created Great Whales) and composer and National Sawdust and VisionIntoArt Director Paola Prestini (Gilgamesh, Labyrinth Installation Concertos, The Hubble Cantata), Aging Magician makes its Off-Broadway Premiere at The New Victory Theater from March 3-12, 2017.

Grammy-Winning Roomful of Teeth to Perform at Swarthmore College

Roomful of Teeth, a GRAMMY-winning vocal project dedicated to mining the expressive potential of the human voice, will perform at Swarthmore College on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. in the Lang Music Building, Concert Hall. The event is free and open to the public, but reservations will be available starting February 1.  More information on making a reservation can be found at: http://bit.ly/2gGjJB4

San Francisco Opera Announces Addition To Upcoming Season, ROOMFUL OF TEETH, 4/23/17

The "remarkable vocal octet" (New York Times) Roomful of Teeth joins SF Opera Lab's Season Two lineup with a performance on Sunday, April 23 at 5 p.m. in the Taube Atrium Theater at the Diane B. Wilsey Center for Opera. The Grammy Award-winning vocal ensemble makes its San Francisco debut in this SF Opera Lab co-presentation with San Francisco Performances' PIVOT series.

The Paul Dresher Ensemble Presents SCHICK MACHINE

The Paul Dresher Ensemble Presents the music theater production Schick Machine September 23-25 on San Francisco's Z Space Main Stage prior to tour. Directed by Rinde Eckert virtuoso percussionist Steven Schick inhabits a fantastical stage filled with huge invented instruments and sound sculptures - including the Hurdy Grande, the Tumbler, the Field of Flowers and the Peacock (a deconstructed pipe organ). After the performance, the audience is invited onstage to engage and explore a kind of audio "maker" sound and visual domain. Panoramic Voices Performing MOZART REQUIEM UNDEAD at Bass Concert Hall

Texas Performing Arts presents a vocal-infused double bill featuring Grammy Award®-winning ensemble Roomful of Teeth and an encore performance of Mozart Requiem Undead by Panoramic Voices (formerly the Texas Choral Consort and Orchestra) along with Austin-based vocal ensemble Convergence. The evening will also feature the world premiere of Caleb Burhans' Tired Tropes for Battered Souls, which has been commissioned by Texas Performing Arts and KMFA-FM.
