From 26 July - 12 August 2012, the Criterion Theatre will present Playing The Games, a programme of work which will celebrate both artistic and sporting talent featuring emerging and established actors, comedians, musicians, playwrights and Olympians. Sam Hodges, Producer of the Criterion Theatre, has commissioned two new plays by emerging British playwrights Serge Cartwright and Adam Brace in response to the presence of the Olympic Games in London-After the Party and Taking Part, respectively. FC Films announced today the company is acquiring all U.S. rights to director Eran Creevy's action thriller WELCOME TO THE PUNCH from Worldview Entertainment.

Produced by Bill Kenwright and Thelma Holt, Noel Coward's Volcano, starring Jenny Seagrove, Dawn Steele, and Jason Durr, will premiere and play a strictly limited West End run this summer at the Vaudeville Theatre. The press night will be on Thursday 16th August at 7.00pm. The run will be for seven weeks only, from Tuesday 14th August to Saturday 29th September.

National Geographic Channel (NGC) today announced that actor Billy Campbell has been cast as Abraham Lincoln and actor Jesse Johnson will play John Wilkes Booth in the two-hour upcoming television film KILLING LINCOLN by Ridley and Tony Scott's Scott Free Productions.

On the heels of its most groundbreaking production to date, in which a Central London Warehouse was converted into a futuristic spaceship in which Ridley Scott's smash hit Prometheus was staged throughout the month of June, Secret Cinema has announced plans to stage its first ever New York production in the Fall of 2012. For the first time, New Yorkers will be able to experience this unique form of "Live Cinema," the format defined by Future Cinema - creators of Secret Cinema. Live Cinema allows the filmgoer to step inside the film and creates a unique experience and journey, far beyond a traditional 2D or 3D viewing experience. The line between actor and audience member is blurred.

Roundabout Theatre Company has just announced that Tony® Award winner Douglas Hodge will star in a new Broadway production of Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand, with a translation by Ranjit Bolt and directed by Jamie Lloyd. Cyrano de Bergerac will begin previews on September 14, 2012 and open officially on October 11, 2012 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street). This will be a limited engagement through November 25, 2012. The full cast & design team will be announced soon.

Thelma Holt and Bill Kenwright opened their production of Noel Coward's VOLCANO, starring Jenny Seagrove, Dawn Steele and Jason Durr, at Theatre Royal, Windsor on Monday 21 May. The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced a complete retrospective of three-time Oscar-nominee Ridley Scott, whose career began in the 70's and who has continued to excite and enchant audiences with his remarkable storytelling ability. The retrospective runs from today May 25 through June 3 and includes the Director's cut of KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, a new 35mm print of THELMA & LOUISE and the chance for fans to catch all of their favorites on the big screen.
