Pixar's BRAVE Tops Weekend Box Office

Disney Pixar's BRAVE debuted at number one at the US box office this weekend. The animated full lenghth film features the voice talents of Emma Thompson, Kelly Macdonald, Billy Connelly and Craig Ferguson. The film, which tells the story of a Scottish princess who tries to change her fate, earned $66.7 million in ticket sales on its opening weekend.

Coming in second was Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted which ended its two-week reign at number one. The film has grossed over $150 million since its opening earlier this month. In at number three was the action thriller Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, with $16 million in ticket sales. Rounding out the final two spots in the top five were Ridley Scott's Prometheus and Rock of Ages, starring Tom Cruise
