Showtime Taps Kyle Chandler to Lead THE VATICAN

Emmy Award winner Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights, Argo, Zero Dark Thirty) has been cast in the lead role of the drama pilot THE VATICAN, a provocative contemporary genre thriller about spirituality, power and politics - set against the modern-day political machinations within the Catholic church.

Chris Cooper to Star in Discovery's First Scripted Mini-Series KLONDIKE

On the heels of filming 'August, Osage County,' Academy Award Winner Chris Cooper will star in Discovery Channel's first-ever, scripted mini-series titled KLONDIKE (wt), playing the role of Father Judge. Cooper won both the Academy Award and the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in 2002 for the film 'Adaptation.' Additionally, Cooper's storied career includes roles in films such as 'American Beauty,' 'The Bourne Identity,' 'The Patriot,' 'Breach' and 'Syriana'.

A sonic reverberation of Homer's The Odyssey - filtered through the lens of downtown artist Tommy Smith - the audio-fueled 'extended play', NECTARINE EP, de-stimulates the audience's perception through visual and auditory manipulation. World-Class Artists Donate Work to Tribeca Film Festival Winners

The 2013 Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), presented by American Express, today announced the participants of the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival Artists Awards Program, sponsored by CHANEL. Twelve contemporary artists will donate their artwork to be presented to the filmmakers whose films are selected by the TFF jury as winners in their respective categories.

According to Screenrant.com, MGM plans to remake the classic film BEN-HUR. The studio is reportedly get in on the latest Hollywood trend of rebooting Biblical epics by producing a new adaptation of the 1880 novel by Lew Wallace.

Ohnotheydidn't.com reports that director Ridley Scott has turned down the opportunity to helm Warner Bros upcoming super hero film JUSTICE LEAGUE. As a result, production on the picture may be pushed back as late as 2016.
