Vineyard Theatre's annual Gala, this year celebrating the institution's 30th Anniversary, will take place at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street) on Monday, March 18, 2013 beginning at 6:00 p.m. (cocktails at 6:00pm, dinner at 7:30pm and performance at 8:30pm). Single tickets (starting at $750) and tables of 10 are available by contacting The Vineyard's Development Office at 212-353-3366 x242 or development@vineyardtheatre.org. Balcony-level tickets to the performance only are $125 each (which includes an open bar) and are available by contacting (212) 353-3366 x227 or development@vineyardtheatre.org.

Maurer Productions Presents AVENUE Q at Kelsey Theatre, 3/1-10

The award-winning theater company Maurer Productions OnStage (MPO) will present the irreverent and hilarious adult musical comedy "Avenue Q" at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre. Dates and times are Fridays, March 1 and 8 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, March 2 and 9 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, March 3 and 10 at 2 p.m. A reception with the cast and crew follows the opening night performance on March 1.

The Vineyard Theatre has announced its annual Gala, this year celebrating the institution's 30th Anniversary. This milestone event will take place at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street) on Monday, March 18, 2013 beginning at 6:00 p.m. (cocktail reception at 6:00 pm, dinner @ 7:30 pm., and performances beginning at 8:30 pm). AVENUE Q Puppets to Be Featured in LOGO PSAs

According to the New York Times, the Avenue Q puppets will soon be featured in several HIV public service announcements. 'Lucy the Slut,' ' Ricky,' and 'Rod' will discuss 'talking frankly about sex with partners and seeking treatment if diagnosed as HIV positive' in the PSAs, which are set to start airing January 28 during LOGO's 'RuPaul's Drag Race.'

The Lyric Stage Company production of AVENUE Q rivals the national tour that passed this way four years ago. The run has been extended (twice) by popular demand to July 1st. Director Spiro Veloudos has assembled one of the best musical ensemble casts of the season.

With Rick Lyon at the helm, it is no surprise that the production of the Tony Award winning Avenue Q at the Smithtown Performing Arts Center is a fantastic one. Mr. Lyon was part of the original Broadway cast and is the designer and creator of the famous puppets in all of the Avenue Q incarnations.
