Om Shanti Productions presents Joshua Kaplan's  Visiting Hours

Decades of conflict have hardened the Stein family in a cold war of sorts… until the family's maverick matriarch teeters between life and death in the Intensive Care Unit of a local hospital. As the family tries to navigate through the present circumstance in the dark shadow of the past, their cold war … heats up. The bandages of old wounds are ripped off, creating new ones. 

Four talented emerging playwrights of color - members of the 2016 INKtank Playwrights Lab -  will unveil their exciting new works when Rising Circle Theater Collective presents its 7th annual PlayRISE Festival, a series of staged readings featuring some of New York City's most exciting theatre artists of color. The festival will run from June 16-19 at The Sheen Center (18 Bleecker Street in Manhattan).

HOMELESS AND HOW WE GOT THAT WAY -- a new play by Dan McCormick -- will be given its world-premiere this fall when Roust Theatre Company produces the play at the Access Theatre (380 Broadway, one block below Canal St.), with previews starting tonight, October 22 prior to a press opening October 25.  James Phillip Gates directs.

The League of Professional Theatre Women will present a special event, 'The Independent Producer' focusing on women producers in today's theater, on Monday May 4 from 6pm to 8pm at Theater Lab at 357 W. 36th St. on the 3rd floor.

On Monday, March 23, the League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), a not-for-profit organization committed to promoting visibility and increasing opportunities for women in the professional theatre, will present a special event for Women's History month, Writing Plays By, For, or About Women. The event will be from 6pm to 8pm at Theater Lab at 357 W. 36th St. on the 3rd floor, focusing on the roles of women in today's theater. This past Monday evening, September 29, 2014, the League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW) hosted a Networking Mondays Panel: A Discussion: Designers and Directors

The League of Professional Theatre Women will present an event, 'A Discussion: Designers and Directors' focusing on the roles and careers of the unseen artists in professional theater, on Monday September 29 from 6pm to 8pm at TheatreLab at 357 W. 36th St. on the 3rd floor.

The League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), as part of an initiative called Women Count, are pleased to present an analysis of women employed Off-Broadway in the four most recent theatrical seasons. A number of efforts to count, study, analyze and report on the status of women in theatre, in recent years, have focused on playwrights and directors. This new study looks at a broader range of professional roles with a specific focus on Off-Broadway productions.

The League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW) is pleased to celebrate women working in theatre with four special events in the month of May. The events include the oral history of Tony-winning actress Bebe Neuwirth on May 5th, a benefit performance of Forever written and performed by award-winner Dael Orlandersmith on May 6th at HERE, May 8th is the second annual advocacy march through Times Square, and May 12th is a networking event on Theatre and Other Careers.

The play, a co-production between Interart Theatre Development Series and MultiStages New Works Contests, is part of the League of Professional Theatre Women's "30 Plays Celebrate 30 Years Series".
