Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Executive Director) will present SIREN'S HEART - Marilyn in Purgatory, written by Walt Stepp (Only Love Will Do, Lightin' Out-A Mark Twain Musical, Why We Shot Jack-The Conspirators' Drama), October 5-23. Lissa Moira directs this one-woman show about Marilyn Monroe starring Louisa Bradshaw*. Gregory Nissen serves as Musical Director & Arranger & Don Garverick choreographs. Set Design is by David 'Zen' Mansley, Assistant to Mr. Mansley is Lytza Colon & Lighting Design is by William Giraldo.

THE 16th ANNUAL LOWER EAST SIDE (LES) FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS brings together under one roof in just three days over 100 performing arts organizations, local and international celebrities, independent artists, poets, playwrights, musicians, puppeteers, film makers and many others - all of whom reside, work or have their roots in the culturally diverse, willfully anarchistic Lower East Side - for New York City's most diverse FREE 3-day festival, from Friday, May 27 through Sunday, May 29, at Theater for the New City (155 1st Avenue, between E. 9th and 10th Sts.) in Manhattan. OBIE Award-winning actress Crystal Field is co-founder and Artistic Director of Theater for the New City.

Musica Sacra Opens Season with Baroque Gems 10/23

On Saturday, October 23, 2010, at 8:00 PM, Musica Sacra opens its 46th season with a program featuring three great Baroque masters. The concert opens with Vanitas Vanitatum (Vanity of Vanities) by the revered Italian Baroque composer, Giacomo Carissimi.
